Barcelona- Ibiza transport

can anyone reccomend the best way to get from Barcelona over to Ibiza? I thought a ferry would be great fun but it seems to take 9 hours, which would normally be fine but i am only going for a few days at each. Is there an internal flight? anyone who has made the journey...would be good to get your advice.

We did internal flight at New Year with Iberia, only takes about 40 mins, perfect.
 
I booked with Vueling and got some excellent pricing. I noticed at the end of December prices tend to plummet and I waited to long to buy and they jumped back up. I waited again till the end of January checking my flights every day and ended up finding 6 flights (times 2 people) in europe for around 375 euro total. That was Paris-Valencia, Valencia-Ibiza, Ibiza-Valencia, Valencia-Seville, Seville-Barcelona, Barcelona-Paris. So somebody correct me if im wrong but there seems to be a pattern here of late month pricing.
