Barcelona - bit of advice

Missus goes away for a while in December. I want to do something a bit different (well for me) & go and see somewhere new to break it up.

Barca is the obvious. I can get a really cheap flight going out on a sunday evening, get there about 9pm, then leave Wednesday morning

Planning on doing the Gaudi thing on Monday, and some art gallieries / Nou Camp on Tuesday.

Question is, on a sunday, in december, will there still be places open until late.

I know this prob sounds daft, given the late living reputation of the city - i'm just thinking a tapas bar that stays open till say 1am - bearing in mind I will prob only hit the city at about 11pm.

In addition, any tips gratefully recieved.:)
 
You'll be fine, when I was there a couple of months ago and was with some Spaniards they all thought it was perfectly normal to go out for dinner at midnight :lol:

my fav thing to do though is:

climb up to the palau nacional from plaça espanya. views all over barcelona from montjuic.

my advice for barcelona is DO NOT KEEP MONEY IN YOUR POCKETS!! OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER!! PICKPOCKETERS ARE CRAZY THERE ESPECIALLY ON TRAINS AND IN THE TRAIN STATIONS..DO NOT HAVE MORE THEN 1 BAG WITH YOU EITHER,PUT EVERYTHING IN 1 BIG SUITCASE...MY LAPTOP BAG WAS STOLEN RIGHT OUT OF MY HAND IN SANTS STATION,I HAD ANOTHER BIG BAG SO I COULDN'T CHASE THEM.,GOT PICKPOCKETED ON A TRAIN TOO,ALTHOUGH I CAUGHT HIM AND BEAT THE **** OUT OF THEM,ALONG WITH AN AMERICAN TOURIST TOO THAT HELPED HAHA. AND I KNEW ABOUT PICKPOCKETERS AND WAS VERY CAREFUL.HAD EVERYTHING IN MY FRONT POCKETS AND THEY STILL GOT IT,ONLY REASON I CAUGHT HIM WAS BECAUSE I SAW MY CELLPHONE IN HIS HAND ,DIDN'T FEEL A THING.
