A lot more hardcore back then, strictly shorts only with no sun tan lotion. Only one shade from the sun also, which was only to be used by gingers and the ladies.
 
Was a great place, a proper den of debauchery. There was another place along the road where burgers king is now on the corner that had hammocks?
 
Anybody know when they moved the Dj Box out from the Tree? Something tells me it was still up there in 2003 when I first went but maybe I'm getting it mixed up with Dancers on Ribbons that used to perform in the Trees. Me and a Mate talking about it the other Day
 
Bar M was refurbished either 1999 or 2000 and they built the upstairs level, sadly the tree was also removed at the same time. The DJ did play up the stairs though from a box with a hatch looking down on the dance floor. Will need to see if I can find any old photos.
 
i was there in early season 98 (meaning start of June kids)
and i'm pretty sure the DJ booth was in the main structure not the tree
 
Also remember Bar M had a tie in with Nandos before it really took off, can't remember how long it lasted for but basically the food was Nandos.
 
Last time I saw thedj in the tree was 96. I remember when nando open in 98 I think we had our first daughter with us and went to meet friends that arrived a few day after us.they had bought what they taught was Charlie and ask me to check it out to see what it was as they didn't trust the taste..greedy me snorted I big line and it turned out to be mdma.o_O
