Bar Licencing

Just wondering if anyone had an update on the current licencing laws, I'm hoping to lease a bar next season with the intentions of having a once a week BBQ and Day party in my bar. Just wondered what the current restrictions are on such events.

Also, does anyone know how difficult it is to get a bar and music licence if you already hold a restaurant licence.

i don't have any experience pertaining to bars but rest assured that anything involving paperwork in ibiza takes much longer and is more convoluted than in normal places. allow an enormous buggeration factor in all your estimates for time, expense, labour, and materials and don't be surprised if you end up with something totally different to what you envisaged.

Thanks Stephen, we're trying to organise a solicitor at the moment to help answer some of our questions. However, time is becoming a factor and it could take weeks before he gets round to us. We're looking to lease a bar/restaraunt and we're also trying to get our heads around trespasos, extending leases and the whole question of licences...and we're aware this could be where the problem lies. Hope to hear from you soon.
