It's what the french call 'Canicule' over here as the mercury has hit 40°C+ in the last few day's with the night's not dropping below 25°C8) But very bad thunderstorms as i post this reply along with very strong winds
NB: I should also point out that even major sporting events have suffered because of the heat with the goalkeeper of Bordeaux suffering from heatstroke the other night v Auxerre and last night the St Etienne game was stopped twice in each half for a five minute break so that both the teams players could have a drink. Now that's something i've never seen before in a european football game.
