Bahia ~ Spending Money

Hi people,

Im off to Ibiza in July 07, now i've been to Kavos, Zante, Falifaki... to name a few,
But i hear that Ibiza is the most expensive by far? im hearing bottles of water set you back 13euro's in the clubs?
I'll be taking around £1,000 for 2 weeks? what do you recon? is that enough...
Also im staying at the bahia. anyone stayed there before? im only hearing goos things about it.

Bahia is sooo nice.. wev been loads of times.. if thats the one just inside the bay? u have to trek all along the walk of the bay to get to the west end but if u walk reasonably fast it can take 10mins and a nice walk - we always say gives u more to your holiday as ul pass 'bay bar' mega cool chill ou bar with coffee tables and cushions to chill out on the floor!! and likes of Bar M..

We can do a week with about £400 where wed do 4 club nights and eat at the sunset strip every night... faliraki etc are totally different holidays where people go out like they would in the UK.. Ibiza is another planet!! People are still in beach wear on sunset strip at 8, 9, 10'oclock and go back to their hotels to get changed to be out on the town for about 12oclock when it all gets going.. advice: get drunk in your room or in west end if thats your scene (loads of bars blagging u with their offers typical holiday bars) then stay off the drink in the clubs as since theyr open til like 7-9am u dont need to go there til 2am so plenty of time to get drunk before u go..

We went all inclusive so drunk at our hotel until 11 and we took £500 spending money each which we pretty much spent it all on the clubs, few drinks in the clubs and taxis, you be better off taxi wise though if your staying San Antonio way we were a bit out the way.
 
yeah that helps, cheers.. yeah its the bahia in the bay, i've heard its a bit of a treck to the west end. is there any bars on the beach that you pass on the way to the westend?!?

and where do you reccomend for breakfast, full english all the way, and its by far the only decent meal we'll have all day!

I think you pass Bar M which someone else said earlier up on this post, I really liked it there, its meant to be the manumission opening bar or something. Quite good in there.

There are loads of english style pubs with shots and that on offer somewhere in San Antonio, only went there once but I know its on a crossroads bit.

Bar M is simply a bar owned by Manumission, hence the name!
 
nice one. lazy bars are the best, i also heard that the beach in the bay isnt that great? and that i need to travel to the nearest decent one??
only 115 days till Ibiza now and i can't wait,
i take it ibiza is better, and more developed than the ****ty greek islands? and i can actually but my toilet paper in the toilet? instead of stinking out our roooooom?

Yeah its not like Greece. You can put your loo paper in the bin from what I remember.
 
work out what you would spend on a good satnight x it by days.plus sunbeds food ect.i would say £1500...would cover you in ibiza.you can put bog paper in toilets ok.beaches are not far away in san an.small boat ride to some of the best in that area.hop about in ibiza.try playa den bossa.nice day out.
i have been all over greece,but for me ibiza wins hands down...tell you the truth you need to stay in the bay to get some sleep.very good places to eat.lots of bars on the way to west end.
 
Greece is a **** pit compared to Ibiza (and most of Spain). Most of the greek islands are full of the idoit type of young British holiday maker, you know paraletic football shirt wearing chavs you see on Greece uncovered and the like (or pretty much any high street in England on a Saturday night :)

The only place like that in Ibiza is the west end, and even thats fairly tame compared to the other places (It can still get rough down there sometimes so watch out!) The rest of Ibiza is chilled out with decent friendly folk, deffo the best med holiday spot ive been to by miles.

Spending money depends on how hetic you want your holiday to be. If your going to hit one of the big clubs every night and do excursions or water sports in the day youd want £1500 for 2 weeks, maybe more if you dont want to worry about it. If you are going to have some easy nights off the clubs and do some hotel room self catering (I recommend cheese and crackers :) You might get away with less. Personally Id go for £1500 to be safe. I am only doing a week this year but I want it to be a mad one so Im playing it safe and taking £1500 myself.

IIRC water in the clubs was £3-£6 and alcoholic drinks ranged from £7-£12+ (just dont offer to buy a round in privilege :) Like most people we get **** faced first with balcony drinks, then hotel bar, then local bar and finally to the clubs (steaming :)

yeah it pretty much sounds like what i've been expecting, never going back to a greek island ever again, there **** and full of low life chavs like you said.
I will take £2,000 just to be safe me thinks,
I wouldnt expect i'd be going to the massive clubs every night, but i'll see how it goes!

Any reccomended beaches i should make my way to?
