In this months FHM it has a Ibiza special. 5 Top Closing parties, 5 Handy Spanish Phrases, 5 Ways to do the island on the cheap, 5 ways to survive a 24hr session, 10 things to do during the day and 5 Places to avoid.

Imagine my disapointment when at number 5 in the places to avoid was our beloved Wips!

This is what was said ( they must have gone on a bad night, but at least it got a mention) :D

5 Whips (sic) Supermarket

The 24-hr supermarket in San An is the unofficial home of Ibiza's criminals, f*** up's and loonies. Only go if you're doing a degree in the uses of Ketamine.

1 Ministry of Sound at Eden

Ministry used to be the jewl in Pachas crown, now it's the fly in San Antonio's Kebab. Only go if you like dancing to "big tunes" with 17yr old girls in stilettos.

2 DJ Sammy's night at Es Paradis

This man remixed Bryan Adams and is big in Germany. You've heard better music on Black Lace's first LP.

3 The VIP Bar at Pacha

You like paying 1,000 Euros for a bottle of cheap champagne, then watching it get drunk by loads of peoples you dont know? Step behind the velvet roap my friend, and have your gold card ready.

4 Salinas Beach

It's full of naked girls. Brilliant! But wait, it's also full of naked men hung like donkeys. You havent got a hope in hell.

i was a whips at 7 this morning and it was fine, at least they still serve beer over the food counter!!!! and its a good place to chatt to randoms about your night!!!

i am not very much surprised that 3 of the 5 mentionned places are in san an...and no one of 'em in pdb.
 
Dirk, while I generally disagree with your unexplained love of San An, I have to say that WIPS is a worthy institution. There's nothing like grabbing a cold beer and sitting outside with a cig for a few minutes on the way home in early sunlight.

i saw some facebook comments from some dj's the other day saying "forget dc10 on a monday morning , wips is where its at!" and was intrigued
