Babysitting / access to beach bars with kids

So me and my hubby used to be into the club scene when we were younger, but we had our first child three years ago which put paid to all that and now got a baby too. We are going for a family holiday in Es Cana the first week of July, but would really like to go out for one night on our own and check out the night life (maybe not a club but certainly the pre club bars and then see where the night takes us), and the only way we can do this is if we get a babysitter.
I checked out the link on here and that babysitting service charges 180 euros for one night which is massively out of our price range, at that price I could fly someone from home out for one night! So I need to try and find a cheaper option, I would pay up to 60-80 euros for one night, which is still a lot, any more than that and it's not really worth it. Does anyone have any ideas?
Also, if we don't get a babysitter, would I be able to at least soak up some of the atmosphere outside some of the pre club bars if we go there early on and sit on the beach with our kids in the buggies? Not that we will stay out really late or anything, but it would be good to at least see a bit of what Ibiza is famous for. Are the areas outside places like café del mar and bora bora open to the public or would they restrict it to adults only. And where would be the best places to go?

Thanks

been cheaper and better to bring someone out with you on hols.you can spend alot just getting around on taxi;s if you don;t know how the buses run.nothing stopping you taking your pushchair along to at least cafe del mar.along the prom.bora bora is closed off at night from beach.so thats out.2 buses to san an 3 to playa den bossa.san an would be nice for a night.set off around 7pm to get there for sunset.walk round prom bars foundtains west end say.get last bus back to santa eulalia and treat yourself to a taxi from there to es cana only up the road.but if you can find someone at hotel willing and trusting to look after baby 80 euro;s looks good.next year either leave child at home or take grandma etc with you.

I am now flying a friend out for the weekend so she can look after the kids whilst we go off clubbing. It worked out cheaper than booking a babysitter plus she knows our kids and will stay around all of the next day if we need a major lie in. I'd rather be giving the money to her than some random. Can't wait now only 2 weeks to go!

so next question - where is best to go on a Saturday night (that's when she's coming) ? I guess nothing too cheesy, but then again not too harsh either. Maybe somewhere nice, chilled, funky. We have all night to play now.

And to answer your question about whether you can take kids to watch the sunset at cafe del mar- Ive seen loads of buggys down there and I'll hopefully take my kids down there if I have any. Listening to some mixes on the net, place like sands on a sunday afternoon seem kid friendly but others will have to confirm that.

Hi Angie

We've been going for 13 years & started bringing our daughter since she was 8 months old. She loves it & is now nearly 4. In terms of baby sitting, even in the UK we pay at least £100 for the night. In Ibiza everything is double or more. £180 is the norm. We have to just about take a second mortgage for a night out there now, but for us, it's worth it.

My daughter loves dancing in the sun, so we put ear protectors on & boogie with her at places like bora bora early on (though not for long).

Loads of restaurants love having kids, & salinas is a great safe beach with cool child friendly restaurants. You can feel the vibe with your LO very easily out there. Also she loves atzaro. Loads of places to explore. Sunset is also lovely with your kiddy. ;)

Enjoy.

Also sounds like you might enjoy Pacha (a little bit commercial on sat) boom looks like it could be fun, but if it's your only night out - Elrow all the way! You will NEVER forget it!

Perfect sat night for me & hubby would be dinner at la Oliva in Ibiza town, drinks watching the parades also in Ibiza town & then Elrow.

I agree - Elrow all the way! great fun! We take my mum on holiday with us now for our nights out, although she is perhaps not as understanding the next day as your friend will be Angi! Have fun!

I would have said Pacha initially, but having given this 30 seconds thought, like the others I would suggest Elrow. If its your one night out this would certainly be the one to remember.
Depending on what time you are set free on Sat eve then would suggest Bora Bora then the "new" Sands further along the Beach. On Saturdays they have Ondas with Clara Da Costa, Andy Baxter, Jason Bye etc. You are likely to hear some very upfront tunes mixed with classics.

Why not have a trip over to PDB or San An one evening with the children, ive been out loads with mine and its perfectly fine. Always a random kid dancing in the sand :)
