After a gloriously hot july, how many of us are now getting fed up with the horrible august weather we've been having late'ly? I realize that the rain's are good for the garden's & for filling up the empty river's & reservoirs but as more than half the rain water is wasted by the major water authorities, i do'nt see the point in having all this rain in august!!!

true august so far has been extremely different to july, but it only feels bad because we're comparing it to the hottest british july on record, august has actually been about average so far

That's true, & no doubt when i'm on holiday in Ibiza next month, the UK will have it's hottest & sunniest september on record, whilst Ibiza shivers in it's coldest LoL. Still if that' the case then atleast i know the wife will be pleased, as she'll be back home working LoL. As they say "no rest for the wicked"

Since about 1week i've been checking what the weather's like in Ibiza (in the runup to my visiting in september) compared to home, & let's all face it, there's no contest. This august will be a month (weather wise) i certain'ly will want to forget in a hurry. Though on the + side atleast the vegatable garden is showing sign's of a bumper crop.
