Shitty apartments from Playasol Group minimum 200 euro per night, this could put an end to my plans of a wee 3 nighter on the 18th.

Anyone been looking recently and come across reasonable deals on accom?

No... the prizes are crazy (although flights from Germany are cheaper in August)... We will fly in the middle/end of September - at this time you can get a room starting with 25€ (San Antonio) again.

We've done the high season months on previous vists but always as a package which probably works out better, much prefer mid to late june or late august and into september these days.

Flights are ok priced but accom is crazy, £220 per night at the Lux Mar, got to be one of the most basic accoms going. £500 per night for Bossa Flow .

Doubt this 2nd trip will happen :(.

A quick booking.com search brought up Can Jurat in San An at £324

Yeah it could be that we have to stay in San An, cheers for that link. It's went up in the time you searched though, £429 which I'm happy enough paying that price.

When I was searching for that hotel on booking.com it showed that 91% of Ibizas hotels that booking.com hosts are reserved.

We chose August to try and increase chances of Sun this time. Went in May and September last year and it was raining thoughout both weeks!

I'm amazed, even in September' how much more the Playa Sol Group hotels are than previous years. Thye have been creeping up year on year and some have been renovated, but Luxmar if i booked now would be nearly double what i paid last year. It does sell out every september though so i guess they would argue that it is supply and demand.

Its the effect of family's not going to Turkey, Egypt & Tunisia mainly, I've never seen so many family's venturing in to San Antonio from the Bay. Ibiza does have to watch where it goes with the pricing though, a lot of 18-25's are on minimum wage and its reached a point where you wouldn't even be able to save for months and still afford a week, and of course without an influx of young holidaymakers every summer things can get old hat very quickly.

I've said that (turkey/egypt/tunisia) all year long. agree re pricing, but the funny thing is, you wouldn't think that the families that usually go to turkey etc would be able to afford holidays in ibiza...yet we're proven the somehow do!

Agreed September looking very busy and slightly higher priced this year. In PDB can find nothing for under £1k for 6 nights, including the Algarb which is about 40% more than it was the same week last year!

Settled for the Marco Polo 1 this year, stayed there before and decent enough, good location and twin room for 6 nights is about £500

Plus the hundreds of thousands of TV shows, magazines, websites which are saying that ibiza is THE place to be, I have an overdose of it.

Stayed there last 2 years n been happy with it. Last sept was bout 300 each all in

Booked an amazing rooftop villa* for about half the price it would cost a hotel through a website that's not airbnb (forgotten the name). Seems the way to go (providing it doesn't get cancelled/robbed). *apt

Booked in early june for 4 nights in Sept, and it got quite pricey on the flights, worked out £350 both ways. (4 nights) With 2 different airlines for september. (Thomson going, Ryanair coming back)

Booked at hotel apartamentos got it for €192 using booking .com. i paid this price for 4 nights in benidorm so id say most prices are the same if booked in advanced ?

Just looked now and its over €250 for 4 nights where we are staying in IBZ.
