Athens Clubs Recommendations

Does anyone have any ideas of decent clubs in athens? going to be there in a couple weeks for a weekend...done a little research but hard to work out which are shoes+ shirts celeb hang outs v actually decent places to party.

Hopefully you have a better time than I did at least from the clubbing perspective. I was there in August and everything was closed as they said everyone goes to the islands for clubbing in the summer (found this strange but i am from nyc where nothing ever shuts so suppose that has something to do with it).

Ah yeah, Spain, Greece, France and most of Italy just shuts down in August! Whole country goes on holiday.

That's not really an option....I'm in Athens and Crete and Crete we are staying in some very quiet villages.

I usually hang out in Pireas for buisness, but more in Bars than Clubs.
Around Filonos Street 1 Block away from the port and Akti Miaouli are a lot of Bars and Clubs.
Or check out Mikrolimano Bay for Dinner. Close is Akti Dilaveri, but I never liked the Clubs there.
