Some more info about what your into music wise and culture wise etc would help as there is so much stuff it is hard to recommend stuff wihout knowing what your into.

We're all into trance, techno, house, hardcore, etc. You name the dj, we probably dig him. If we didn't like clubbing or trance we'd probably be going to cancun or one of those stereotypical american summer hot spots.

We're basically asking where to be when all of ibiza's best djs are in town. (pvd, oakenfold, tiesto, judge jules, mauro pic, etc.)
 
then you'll be looking to go to Cream on a thursday night at Amnesia for definate, they had Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk and Tiesto amongst others last year and I would expect the same this year
 
As far as flights go, look @ British Airways. There are some really good deals for flights to IBZ. I looked everywhere and they had the lowest fares (round $800 round trip). Hotels, as I'm sure you'll read on the site, you defo want to look in Ibiza Town or Playa D'en Bossa--biggest parties, clubs, etc.....

You'll have a great time. I would suggest to rent a villa as you're 8-9 people and this enable to get a nice villa that might be cheaper that renting 4 hotel rooms. Below are some sites that are very usefull for villa rental:

My fav. place on the island is bora bora.....I'd recommend staying somewhere around playa d'en bossa personally. If you're looking for a non-sterotypical American holiday this is the place to be. I met one other american the entire time I was there....now that's a vacation! :D
