Random question:

Looking for some decent art websites (contemporary) to order some art for my newly refurbished money pit.

Any good ones out there? (non- ebay)

Mark If you are out in Newcastle at any time, there are 2-3 fantastic galleries worth looking at..... I took Gingerfreak to 2 of them when he was up in August - he was looking for something original for his pad......

One is the Biscuit Factory in Byker and The Art Works studio (some fantastic stuff in here) beside the old Warner Brothers Cinema at Manors?

Definately worth a look imo... 8)

PL: I've been to the Biscuit factory a few times (especially the restaurant part) :D really cool place. (especially liked the seven foot chicken made from chicken wire) - have to try the other place you mentioned though

they have some stunning sculptures in there dont they??? I want a big garden so I can fill it with really f*cked up sculptures have garden parties with spannered people and freak them out, ideally the sculptures will be on tracks so they can be moved around intermittantly..... 8O

The Art Works studio is on Falconer Street, its just one guy's work - some of it is pretty abstract, and a lot of it is modernist and industrial some of them are huuuuuuuge pieces of work as well .....
