Hi all

Im am sooooooo looking forward to going back to Ibiza at the end of September, the weeks are flying by thank god so not too much longer to wait (i wont bore you all with the exact timing till i go !!). This is my 13th visit to the white isle and my first for 4 years. I will also be taking my 2 year old son for first time, and my partner will be carrying our new unborn baby.

Now as much as im excited to just be back on Ibiza soil again and to see all the lovely beaches, sea ,sights and taking my son for the first time to a place i call "Home" ..... im starting to get really depressed and worried that im not going to enjoy Ibiza like i used too when i was a tad younger with no responsibilities. Now obviously im not going to be able to be clubbing it or anything like that anymore due to us having a child with us, but it has started to really bug me to a point where im actually dreading being out there to some extent (it sounds ludicrous but its true lol).

Its all probably just me thinking about it far too much, and im sure it will be fine and im sure we will keep ourselves busy all week. I just cant stop thinking about the old times of being there and all the fun i have had over the years. My freinds recently came back fIom a week out there and they have been telling me all the stories of the nights they went too and all that jazz, and it really depressed me :(

I feel bad about feeling like this as i should be looking forward to it for mine and my familys sake before anything else even comes into the equation. But at the moment im really struggling to get my head round it. I think a lot of it also comes down to that im the only one who can have a drink aswell so its not as if im going to be getting a little drunk with anyone lol

Someone please tell me im an idiot and that everything is ok LOL

your partner being pregnant is the only reason why I'm not saying 'get a nanny for a night or two and go for it'!

on the other hand you'll enjoy everything else apart from the crazy nights so much more. during your clubbing days, did you ever get up early during your holidays? and I don't mean just coming back from a club. but having slept properly and getting up early? I absolutely adore ibiza early in the morning, but in summer I don't get to see it (at least not feeling fresh).

I can't promise you won't get a little crave or two for a party, but I do think you'll be perfectly fine. If you love ibiza enough as an island, you won't feel missing out.

Ive just returned from a weeks stay with the family. It was the third time all four of us have been together. One of THE best holidays we have ever had ( and that's all of us).
Plenty of stuff to do with them to get the vibe. You just don't get to go to clubs, time for you to discover what else Ibiza has to offer.
You got a hire car hombre ?

and......
seeing where you are staying you are a stones throw from Kumarhas and Can Pujol for a great sunset.

Thanks for the replys amigo's :)

@stivi I didnt even think about the nanny thing, but yeah you are correct unfortunately that wont even work lol Yeah im definetly an early riser, even after getting in late i only have an hour or two's kip before i get up for the day as i like to make the most of my time off at weekends, plus im up a bit of an insomniac when it comes to sleeping ! As you say im sure it will be fine and i will have a great time, i cant tell you how much i LOVE Ibiza but being 12 times already should give you a little idea ;) Its my first time back for a while so that probably pays a big part of my "depressed state" i think the techincal term is !

@diver Im glad to hear that matey, hopefully mine is exactly the same enjoyable trip you had yourself :) I suppose the good thing is we can have a walk around at night with the lil one asleep in pushchair soaking up the atmosphere and stuff like mambo for sunset etc. No car hire booked as of yet, but i am thinking of renting one for a few days at least. Would be a good idea to get round the island while the nipper is young and dont get too bored too quickly lol !

It will be ok im just being silly after hearing all my mates stories the other night, i will have a few drinks and chill out without the hangovers/comedowns this time around and enjoy Ibiza once again. The place has such a grip on me !!

@diver Yes i remember Kumarhas from a few years back, is it child freindly? That would be brilliant if it is, could get all my fixes in one place as such ! Just had a look at can pujol looks amazing, must go there aswell !

@Fergi Thanks i havent been here before but ive heard about it, again looks amazing. May have to take a trip over there aswell during the week!

Head to Nassua Tanit beach club, next to Nassua Beach on PDB past HRHotel.. Love chilled tunes, great beds, food and vibe.. Little kids play area to the side and you'll still see the sights around to feel close.. Babylon beach club is great for families and that nice beach vibe..Have been for many many years myself and have felt like you thinking ' it just won't be the same' but it is.. You love the island and she'll love you all back! You're planting the seed in your kids for them to return someday for their own adventure.. Ibiza was magical before the clubs as it has that pull that makes us all return year after year! Roll on September for second visit this summer..

14th visit wirh the kids now in October,16 and 9 yrs old and wouldn't have it any other way.:) Last time I was any the big clubs we were still using pesatas. Had a few sneaky winter visits with the missus that were very messy but great fun. Stipper/hooker back in the room come to mind as one crazy night. So bring the kids and then plan a sleazy winter sex trip.

Don't worry you'll have an amazing time, it might be a little different but I'm sure just the magical feeling of being back on the island - even the excitement of waiting to get on the plane - will be enough to get you out of your slump.

If all else fails, we're on the island at the same time as you roughly and my other half seems to be planning more partying than I think I'll be able to face (maybe it's just a long week at work talking) so feel free to come and take him off my hands for a night....babysitting duty swap haha!!!

Lost youth, it happens to everybody; one reason or another.
Just get over it, it's not so bad....

Yeah its the getting over it bit thats hard lol

Yeah im sure i will be excited about it all soon.Just the realisation of not being able to experience the clubs again for a while!! missus has said we can go back when kids are a bit older for a weekend of paryting. To be honest i dont really go out clubbing in the uk unless there is a big event on or something like that. But Ibiza is a complete different planet compared to back here.

HAHA i would be more than happy to have a party buddy for the week :)

I do feel a lot better about it all now, like you have all said just being in Ibiza will be enough excitement as its just that nice of a place. Id love to have chance to go to a closing party one of the nights but i just couldnt leave my missus and son behind for me to go and have some fun, that would be selfish especially with missus being pregnant.

And im not the kind of person who could go out on their own, i get on with anyone but i jus couldnt do it would feel proper weird to me! I once met a lad who went Ibiza on his own and i still cant get my head round how he did it, to be fair there are a lot of people out there that do so fair play to them!

8 weeks today and il be there!!

Just remember, around 80% of visitors to the island never go to the clubs, and they keep going back....there must be a reason?
Seeing where you're staying this year, yes, a slow sprint along to Kumharas wouldn't hurt.
