I know this seems like a silly question, especially as it's only bloody march, but does anyone have advice for where you can stay/or go if your flights arrive in the middle of the night? I always stay at a lovlely guest house in old ibiza town, but i can't go there until lunch time the next day?? Last time we just wandered about until it opened and it was a real pain...any advice??

I always get night flights but we just book extra day at hotel we're staying at so we can check in straight away.

You could head to somewhere like Ancient People in PDB, that place is normally open 24 hours and you could chill on the comfy seats, get a bit of rest and have a few drinks.

ancient people

cheers, may well do that, just checked out the website, as I am such a geek, looks not bad. Is there any hotels that will let you check in in the middle of the night?? Always stay at the same place in the old town, so know nothing about other places....just want a crap double room, i can book for one night to dump bags etc, until we can check in properly the next day.......can't wait though...

Every hotel I've stayed at I've tended to check in at some point in the night, I just let them know what time my flight will be arriving and they make sure my room is ready and someone is on hand to check me in. There's so many night flights to Ibiza that a lot of people do the same thing.

But if you don't want to pay additional night, Ancient People is a cool, chilled bar and I've seen people hanging round there in middle of night either just come off flights and waiting for room or having had to check out room and waiting for flight home.

Ancient people

cheers, thats a great help, will at the very least go there when waiting for the flight home.

will prob just book somewhere for the night i arrive, as want to be vaguely fresh and up for a nice day at bora bora.

thanks.....

p.s..you mention the rythm factory, have been to a good few Soulsonic nights there.....

you could always sleep in your hire car - not that I would recommend it if there are four of you... we spent a very uncomfortable 6 hours in a very hot car trying to swat a bloody mosquito which had managed to get in somehow .....

I know its a bit off the topic but my flight is arriving in ibiza on a sunday at around 11pm is there any buses i can get to San An if not what do the taxis charge?

I think it a "night"mare arriving at night, too late for serious clubbing and too early and silly just to go straight to bed! we arrive around 2.30, have to have our luggage and then off to the hotel........Arrive around 3.45 and THEN we have to go out, just stupid really.....

If you're in Ibiza Town the Croissant Show is open for all but an hour through the night. It's a good place to hang out if you don't really feel up to alcohol. (Although they serve that as well as French patisserie stuff and great hot chocolate.)

Last year I had a hire car so I just left my bags there and climbed up the Alt Villa and watched the sunrise from there. 8)

We have the same problem this year, our flight lands at about 1am, but we just did as Barbie has suggested and booked an extra night at the hotel. Gonna call em nearer the time to make sure we can check in at silly o'clock
