Apartment Hire? Air Bnb?

Quick question - anyone rented an apartment from something like AIRBNB on here, or done it from one of the hire companies and have any recommendations?

Going with a group that is too small to justify a villa, but I don't want to do an apartment complex like Jet. So was wondering if anyone had any decent experiences with apartments that they can recommend?

Want to be near to PDB.

Ive used Holiday lettings.co.uk before which allows private owners to advertise their apartments. I hired a private apartment in Cala de Bou quite a few years back before all this worry about false ads but at the time it was still a bit risky. I paid the owner directly via bank transfer and was given instructions on where to pick up the key when I arrived, as it happens it all went smoothly but Im not sure if I would take the risk. Ive also done the same hiring a private apartment in Goa and in Florida and also had no problems.

Even if you pay by credit card or another secure method (paypal) where you can get your money back, it doesn't help if you turn up and find the advert wasn't real and you can get access to your apartment. I know that Holiday lettings does have secure payments but not sure on how they verify that the owner is legit. Owners direct.com also have something similar and simply recommend that you ring the owner to establish whether they are legit which doesn't sound the easiest thing to do.

To be honest if I were renting just for a small group I would stick with a more reputable site (like spotlight!!) or other established agents (don't want to name them but im sure you probably know who they are)

Went to Royal Beach in PDB in June (with somebody who wasn't Ibiza Spotlight so wouldnt want to advertise them here, always book with Spotlight when possible ☺). The apartment (for 6) was pretty amazing and a lot better value than the nearby hotels
 
you mean you want to go s/c.try sal rossa right on the beach front.one min to bora bora shops near by.good food cook if you cannot be bothered to in bar..sleep 3.can be booked on this site.
 
Sal Rossa is great, always feels quite relaxed considering how close it is to all the chaos. Great position open to the sea and faaaaaaaaaar better bet than Jet
