That is the correct/official Microsoft update site.

You copy and pasted the email text?

The text of the web address was the correct address and so when coppied and pasted it works fine but the actual link on the email may have pointed to a fake site, if you see what i mean.

In that case i was right, it is fake.

I copied/pasted and it took me to a proper Microsoft screen.
