Anyone know Alberto Blasquez (sp.?) from El Divino?

Anyone know a guy named Alberto Blasquez (sp.?) ? I'm sure his last named is mispelled, as it's my stab at a transliteration from an article in Russian, but apparently the guy managed El Divino for a long time.

It's Alberto Blazquez.

Ah... that makes sense. They transliterate into Cyrillic by sound.

Apparently this guy worked at El Divino for something like 15 years. 8O

He's moving to Moscow now to reopen the famous Club XIII, once the most glamourous nightclub in town. I guess he met the XIII owner/promoter Gary on Ibiza at some point, since Gary organized the From Russia with Love night at El Divino in the summer of 2001.

XIII is a great venue. I'm not sure how much they're remodelling it for the grand reopening. They reopened temporarily for Halloween last year (Kenny Dope played, if I remember correctly) and it was just as cool as I remembered from back in the day. Gary really knows how to throw a party.

Give us a shout when you come to town.
