ANTZ ON FIRE- A FIRST FOR HIRST AS NEW LOGO IS REVEALED IN TIME
FOR LOCAL CHARITY EVENT IN CONJUNCTION WITH ISLAND DJ, ANTZ
Notoriously fabulous Brit Artist Damien Hirst designs and presents a
total of four logo designs to island DJ, ANTZ
The designs will form part of a fundraising campaign by Antz for local
cancer charity in association with Groucho Club
Ibiza, 2nd July 2012 (FIX Ibiza).- In a total first of its kind in the music world, internationally renowned English artist, entrepreneur and art collector Damien Hirst has designed a brand new logo for island DJ, ANTZ. To be more accurate, Hirst has designed no less than four (4!) logos for the DJ, each one straight from the depths of the contemporary artist's actual brain! The final favourite of the four logos to be selected for Antz' official logo has yet to be decided – not an easy choice, one might imagine.
The Brit artist, famous for a series of artworks in which dead animals (including a shark, a sheep and a cow) are preserved and often, dissected, didn't have to get out the formaldehyde in the case of the Antz artwork though- his inspiration this time one man who is very much alive...
As an aside, Hirst has produced his Antz work whilst a retrospective exhibition of his works currently shows at Tate Modern, London. It is the first major survey of the artist's work and spans the twenty-five years of the artist's career. http://www.damienhirst.com/
The presentation of the logos comes just in time to add much meat to the bone of Antz' latest project- a very special collaboration between The Teenage Cancer Trust, and the Spanish Association Against Cancer with plans currently underway to organize at least one on island event this summer in aid of the two well known cancer associations.
In a unique partnership with London's private members' club The Groucho Club, who will host a pop up club at Sa Talaia rural hotel, the first event will take place on 16th August and the second two days later, on 18th August.
With Antz, who kicked cancer to the kerb himself some 16 years ago, at the helm of this particular ship, he's said to be delighted to be given the chance to collaborate for the good of both the Teenage Cancer Trust and the AECC as part of the Groucho Club's contribution to the island. ‘Giving Back', Antz calls it. No better man for the job.
Sue Mari, Vice President for the ASOCIACION ESPAÑOLA CONTRA EL CANCER had this to say about the upcoming project: “We are very excited about the proposed project in August with Antz and the Groucho Club and very grateful that they have considered raising funds for the association. There are an increasing number of cancer patients in Ibiza and Formentera who need our help and the funds raised will enable us to meet their specific needs. We look forward to the project developingâ€. So do we.
ANTZ ON FIRE: SUMMER 2012
With a timetable that's rapidly filling up, there's a multitude of chances to hear Antz playing all over the island this summer. From his residencies to his private parties, this boy's in demand.
Last Thursday 28th June to be exact, our Antz played at the Opening of one of the island's brightest prospects for this season in San Antonio, The Ocean Beach Club, kicking off the festivities of what owners of the exclusive beach venue are calling ‘a new era for San Antonio'. http://www.oceanbeachibiza.com/
Following on from that, it was straight on the plane and back to the U.K this weekend for a special set at Cornbury Festival on the Great Tew Estate, Oxfordshire, making a change from our man's usual Sunday shenanigans, his weekly event, Play it by Ear.
Now in its second year at Ibiza Rocks House @ Pikes, ‘Play it by Ear' is already back in pole position as the place to eat, drink and be merry every Sunday. With Jon Sa Trinxa and some very special impromptu guests flanking our man Antz in the DJ booth, a full roast on the table, not to mention daybeds and cocktails by the pool, this is the perfect way to spend a sunny Ibiza Sunday. http://www.facebook.com/pages/PLAY-...ZA-ROCKS-HOUSE-at-PIKES-HOTEL/163874557013745
This Wednesday, 4th July, also sees get down with the animalz as Antz' makes a guest debut at Channel Zoo, alongside headliner Terry Francis at San Antonio's infamous Gala Nights venue. That should be a wild one in all senses of the word.
Meanwhile, up the Sant Joan road, and Antz continues his Friday night residency at Aura Ibiza, those in the know already know that this is one night that continues to pull a crowd of well informed, high-profile party people. Movers and Shakers movin' and shakin'… http://www.auraibiza.com
And then, there's the Carl Cox connection. In the first of several summer dates with top techno dude Cox, the two old pros brought the beach house down at Carl's infamous party at SANDS in Playa den Bossa. …a delicious day of seashore and sexy sounds that this year pulled a crowd of over 3000 party people. In addition to guesting at Carl's Soul & Funk beach parties also at Sands, Antz will join Carl to DJ on the Terrace at Space on August 8th as part of the line up for Cox's ‘Revolution Recruits' parties.
Pool Disco @ Ushuaia is the next destination on the party map. Imported from London's premier members club, Shoreditch House, Creation promoter and innovator Mark Herman is the man behind the Pool Disco events and Antz has been confirmed as part of the line up at this, Pool Disco's first season on the island. http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/promoters/pooldisco_i.htm
Looking ahead to Wednesday, September 19th and time for Antz to truly have it right off with a session from him confirmed as part of a 10k holiday prize for some lucky jambags, winners of local online booking and information site, Have It Ibiza's mega holiday competition. Antz will join the line up for a very special winners party in a very secret location…
ANTZ BIOGRAPHY
“Antz knows his music, works the crowd, plays for the occasion. There is something to be said for us older guysâ€
Carl Cox on Antz
Loved for his charm and character as much for his musical talent, Antz is one of the most sought after private DJs in Ibiza. His incredible heritage sets him amongst the forefathers of London's dance music movement of the late 80's and early 90's. With long-term residencies at the Milk Bar and Wag Club, alongside Danny Rampling and Nicky Holloway, he and his contemporaries shaped the clubbing scene and became the darlings of London's party crowd.
Discovering Ibiza close to 20 years ago was like opening Pandora's Box for Antz. The island delivered a playground which expanded his musical influences and party experiences.
Open air clubs, beach parties and a wonderful mix of open-minded people coupled with sounds from around the world all helped to shape his instinctive DJ'ing style and led him to become a regular on the Space terrace with Brandon Block and at Café del Mar for the magical sunsets.
It's Antz's incredible ability to read his audience and understand what they want to hear that gives him such wide appeal. He masterfully combines old school house, deep techno and progressive house with club classics and then, just when you're least expecting it, cheekily throws in a Billie Jean remix or Rolling Stones original!
Ultimately, he knows how to fill a dance-floor. In recent years he has played parties for Jamiroquai/NYE, Michael Cain (daughters wedding), Bruce Parry (BBC/Amazon) wrap party, Max Gottschalk (annual Ibiza villa party alongside Pete Tong and Groove Armada) and Jade Jagger and has appeared at festivals; Glastonbury, The Glade, Kimberley and Ronnie Wood's annual Woodfest.
Over the last 3 years Antz has also been putting on West London's favourite Christmas party, Electric Santa, with Matthew Bushwacka and John Beach which this year included Steve Proctor, Danny Rampling and Sasha in the festivities.
As for this summer and with a timetable that's rapidly filling up, there's a multitude of chances to hear Antz playing all over the island this summer. From his residencies to his private parties, this boy's in big demand. Metaphorically speaking, Antz really is ON FIRE.
BIRTHDAY BOY ANTZ PULLS A TRIPLE WHAMMY! THIS WEEKEND 12-14th OCTOBER
Just when you thought it was safe to put away your disco boots for another season, DJ ANTZ has a plan in store this weekend that, quite simply, can only be described as One Big Fat Birthday Blowout.
As one of the island's most respected DJs, AntZ has done nothing if not surpassed himself this summer in Ibiza, not only with his weekly residencies at Ibiza Rocks House and Aura but also the vast number of private bookings and international gigs.
This weekend though, and there's an extra cause for merriment as the main man celebrates one more year of his amazing life. One weekend, three chances to let it all hang out on the dancefloor to the tunes lovingly provided by the birthday boy.
Here's the plan. First stop, AURA. Friday Night. After last weekend's awesome End of Summer shenanigans at AURA, the doors are back open for Autumn meaning that our AntZ is back in action every Friday through October. Yay!
On to Sunday, and this is where it gets even more interesting…
First up, it's a fond farewell for another season to Antz's signature event at IBIZA ROCKS HOUSE at Pikes Hotel. ‘PLAY IT BY EAR' has been as staple a part of the island's diet as the roast dinner that's served up at the hotel every Sunday. Joining Antz this week behind the decks, PIBE Resident Jon Sa Trinxa and as a very special treat, straight in from San Agustin, proper Spancunian and DJ extraordinaire Andy Wilson(Ibiza Sonica)- a man who knows the meaning of the Balearic Beat better than most. This IS the place to be. And you have one more chance to be there…
A bit later on that day, as the sun sets on San Antonio, it's straight off to AMANTE for the next part of the party plan, where ANTZ gets back to work alongside the likes of other great names including Groove Armada's Tom Findlay. Mark our words, this is set to be a monumental end to another great season at Amante.
Only one more thing to say then, really, and that's ‘Happy Birthday, Antz!'
ANTZ and his HIDDEN TREASURES..AECC FUNDRAISER..SAT 15th DEC, CALA SAN VICENTE, IBIZA
ANTZ' HIDDEN TREASURES COME TO LIGHT
LOCAL DJ ANTZ, PLANS NEXT STAGE OF FUNDRAISING PLAN
AFTER MEETING WITH SPANISH CANCER ASSOCIATION, AECC
CHRISTMAS FAIR FUNDRAISER IN CALA SAN VICENTE'S
HIDDEN BAR CONFIRMED FOR 15[SUP]TH[/SUP] DECEMBER 2012, 12-6pm
(FIX IBIZA/5 Dec 2012/IBIZA):
In a meeting this week with the Spanish Cancer Association, the AECC, Ibiza DJ and all round good guy, ANTZ, confirmed that he would continue in his efforts to bring awareness to the association, the cause and those affected by cancer in the Pitiusas.
As a next step in his voluntary quest, plans have been announced for the well-known DJ's involvement in the ‘Hidden: Treasures' Christmas Fair in Cala San Vicente, in the north of the island of Ibiza.
The fair, organised by HIDDEN's owners, Amanda Blanch and Chris Edwardes, will take place on Saturday 15[SUP]th[/SUP] December, 12pm – 6pm, with a combination of a Christmas market, food and drinks, an appearance from Santa Claus and music provided by DJs Antz and Soundman Scott amongst the many plans being finalized.
As well as having an AECC information stand at the fair, fundraising efforts will include a raffle, tombola, charity cocktail and 1€ entry fee to the Christmas Fete, all proceeds to be directed to the Cancer Association.
Talking of his volunteer work with the Ibiza & Formentera branch of the AECC, Antz said, “I got cancer 15 years ago, totally out of the blue, and it's easy to forget how hard it was and the help that you need. Everyone I know is affected in some way by the disease and people are terrified of it. The point is for people to start to be more aware of it and to give whatever they can.â€
Antz, real name Anthony Bryans, recently played an intrinsic role in the fusing of collaboration earlier this year between the AECC, the Teenage Cancer Trust and London members' club, the Groucho. His efforts resulted in the recent presentation to the local cancer association by both parties of 8000€.
Aside from his volunteer efforts, the DJ has a busy month ahead with a number of dates confirmed in his old stomping ground of London, including Slush on 1[SUP]st[/SUP] Dec, Shoom's 25[SUP]th[/SUP] Anniversary on 8[SUP]th[/SUP] and his own Electric Santa on 22[SUP]nd[/SUP] December before flying back to Ibiza just in time to get the party started at AURA on New Years Eve.

AECC RECEIVE DONATION OF 775€, PROCEEDS OF THE ‘HIDDEN TREASURES' CHRISTMAS FAIR
LOCAL DJ AND AECC VOLUNTEER ANTZ BRYANS ALREADY HAS NEXT FUNDRAISER IN THE PIPELINE
(FIX//Ibiza, 24[SUP]th[/SUP] January, 2012)
It may be cold outside but we are feeling rather warm and fuzzy after a meeting today between the Spanish Cancer Association -the AECC- and the kind folks behind the Hidden Treasures Christmas Fair resulted in a donation of 775€ being handed over to the Ibiza &Formentera branch of the national association, proceeds of the fundraiser held on December 15[SUP]th[/SUP], 2012 at Hidden Bar in Cala San Vicente.
President and Vice-President Lali Costa and Sue Mari were present for the handover of the cheque from Hidden Bar's owners and co-organisers of the event, Amanda Blanch + Chris Edwardes. Also at the presentation, FIX Ibiza's own Jillian Canney representing both her PR agency and its client, local DJ and fellow AECC volunteer, Antz Bryans, all of whom played a big part in the success of the Christmas charity fundraiser.
The AECC said they were ‘once again delighted with the efforts of Antz and his team players in drawing awareness to the Association and it's cause', which helps provide much needed care for cancer patients in the Pitiusas.
Spurred on by the success, another event is being planned for Easter at HIDDEN BAR in Cala San Vicente, with details being confirmed at time of going to press. One thing is for sure, thought, Antz will once again be giving it his all as far as the music is concerned at the Easter Eggstravaganza and if it's anything like the last one, expect a great day out for the young and the not-so-young, all in the name of a great cause.

In other Antz news:
This Saturday 26[SUP]th[/SUP] January and time for Antz to get all Sexy n Chic again, with the DJ back behind the decks of S n C island promoter, Jonathan Roi's latest gathering, Mood Up, being held at Sirocco Beach Club, Playa den Bossa. Get there early (from 10pm) for a sushi feed on the house! Oh! And girls, heads up…don't wear stilettoes if you're planning to boogie the night away (which goes without saying when Antz gets on) – that decking floor can be treacherous…
Good stuff. This is the way all DJ's should promote themselves in Ibiza. The Cafe Mambo/In The Mix charity event was another welcome initiative last year. Hope to see more of the same.
Antz & the Hidden Easter Fayre/SATURDAY 30TH MARCH/IN AID OF AECC
ANTZ, CRAZY GOLF & EASTER FUNDRAISING
DJ ANTZ BACK FROM MIAMI TO PLAY AT AECC FUNDRAISER
HIDDEN'S EASTER FAYRE TAKES PLACE ON SATURDAY, 30[SUP]TH[/SUP] MARCH
(FIX IBIZA/25th MARCH, 2013): DJ, music producer, fundraiser and, in a recent revelation, golfer, Ibiza resident Anthony Bryans- ANTZ- is a man with very many talents. In the latest of a long list of his moves and shakes, the London born DJ is once again behind another fundraising event for the local branch of the Spanish Cancer Association (AECC), flying in from Miami especially for the event at Hidden Bar, Ibiza, on Saturday 30[SUP]th[/SUP] March 2013.
In a winter that has seen Antz mostly locked in a studio ear-deep in a very special music collaboration in full swing (more details soon...), Bryans has also been involved in raising the profile of the AECC through his continuing voluntary work with the association, in the form of a number of fundraising initiatives including this, the Easter Fayre in Cala San Vicente, from 12pm-6pm.
Flying straight in from his visit to Miami, where his activities included a few rounds of golf with former racing driver and founder and owner of Jordan Grand Prix, Eddie Jordan, in a game organised by no less than World Number One and a two-time major champion golfer, Rory McIlroy MBE. But Antz has decided to put the golf clubs down, leave the Miami Music Conference to its own devices and fly back in order to be present at the event at Hidden, arriving back on the island just in the nick of time to DJ at the Easter Fayre.
Antz, who himself kicked cancer firmly to the kerb several years ago, first became involved with raising awareness of the local AECC association a year ago, through a meeting arranged by FIX Ibiza's Jillian Canney with the Ibiza & Formentera branch of the AECC's Vice-President Sue Mari. Since then, momentus has grown with other future efforts for the AECC including the upcoming 1[SUP]st[/SUP] Ibiza Charity Polo Cup, taking place on Saturday, June 8th in an initiative with local company, Ibiza Delivers.
The 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] AECC fundraiser at Hidden Bar, Ibiza – An Afternoon of Fun, Fundraising and Cocktails.
‘Hidden'– literally, in the bay of Cala San Vicente– is the perfect location for a fundraiser of this nature. Evoking memories of Alice in Wonderland's charming quaint dreamland, weathered bunting and china cups amongst the giant chess pieces and crazy golf course, organisers plan an Easter Fayre with definite references to the ideas and ideals of a good old traditional Easter Fayre.
Bring and Buy stalls, Arts & Crafts, Raffle, Tombola, Crazy Golf, Easter Egg hunt, Easter Bonnet competition, face-painting- just some of the activities in store on Easter Saturday,
Other Easter treats include Hot Cross buns and Easter cakes, plus a selection of cocktails from acclaimed mixologist Chris Edwardes.
In the kitchen: Michael Arthur and Pedro Cervero.

ANTZ BACK BEHIND THE DECKS AT HIDDEN'S OPENING PARTY ON JUNE 1
+ IBIZA CHARITY POLO CUP ON JUNE 8
(FIX/IBIZA/30TH MAY 2013): With summer lurking somewhere around here and Ibiza officially ‘open', Ibiza resident, charity worker and all round good guy, Anthony ‘Antz' Bryans, is a DJ who's been popping up all over the place doing his bit to help from behind the scenes and not to mention, from behind the decks.
This week, Antz was reunited with Vice President of the Ibiza & Formentera delegation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), Sue Mari, for the handover of monies raised at Hidden Bar's recent Easter Fayre/AECC fundraiser, co-organised with Hidden's owners Amanda Blanch and Chris Edwardes as well as local promoter Mitch Clark. A total of 1,215€ was raised at the event which took place at Cala San Vicente's coolest little wonderland, Hidden, some weeks ago. Organisers thanked everyone involved in making the Easter Fayre such a success and promised news of further fundraisers in the near future. Asked to comment on the latest donation, Sue Mari said, “The local cancer association, AECC, is delighted with the response from foreign residents on the island to help raise funds that enable us to carry out our work helping cancer patients in Ibiza and Formentera. On behalf of the AECC, we'd like to give special thanks to Jill Canney and DJ Antz for setting the wheels in motion.â€
Antz' next collaboration for the AECC takes place on Saturday June 8 at the Ibiza Charity Polo Cup where he'll be joined by some very special guests; promising to put the party into polo, after a day of tournament and equestrian entertainment in the latest eventl in aid of the AECC. The Ibiza Charity Polo Cup, organised by local company, Ibiza Delivers, and taking place at the Ibiza Polo Club in Sant Joan, plans to raise both funds and awareness for the local cancer organisation and has confirmed the presence of international players Andrew Hine, Nic Roldan, Jaime Espinosa de los Monteros and Anoushka Bahlsen at the Ibiza Polo Club for the fundraiser. Models Poppy and sister Cara Delevingne are amongst the familiar faces confirmed to attend this first initiative from Ibiza Delivers in the raising of funds for local cancer patients.
Bryans also recently played his role- and his best records- at the Teenage Cancer Trust's Contemporary Art Auction in London on 15 May, alongside fellow collaborators, Groove Armada with guests that included art lovers Bobby Gillespie & Katy England, Jude Law, Richard Bacon, Tom Parker Bowles, Sean Pertwee, Charlotte Tilbury, Ruth Wilson, Lara Bohinc, Nancy Dell'Olio, Nicholas Kirkwood, Willa Keswick, Amber Jackson, Jeff Wootton, Dan Macmillan, packed into the Groucho Club to help raise a grand total of £100,000 for the charity, The auction was a warm up for the Ibiza Summer Party in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
And finally, last Sunday 26[SUP]th[/SUP] May and Antz' weekly Sunday residency, ‘Play It By Ear' welcomed the ‘Get Tested' organizationto Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes, where amongst other efforts, a select number of art pieces donated by Urban In Ibiza's Paul ‘Dizzi Saunders' went under the hammer for the Hep C Trust. A total of 3000€ was raised for the charity on the day.
Back to this weekend, Saturday 1 and our Anthony is back up at Hidden to ceremoniously open their doors for the summer season, in a party that promises to live up to Hidden's fast going reputation as being the best destination venue in San Vicente. Open midday till midnight, Antz on the decks, amazing cocktails, delicious food, kids' area and crazy golf all happening just 50ms from the seashore.
And that's not even the start of it for this DJ's summer schedule. More updates coming soon on where to catch Anthony Antz Bryans- so good they named him twice…
· Antz announces summer DJ residency at Sacca Ibiza
· Squeezes in a set at Carl Cox's birthday party
· Pet Shop Boys approve Drop Jackson 'Vocal' remix
· Prince Harry and The P.M big fans
(FIX/IBIZA/23 JULY2013): On an island saturated somewhat by sameness, Anthony ANTZ Bryans is a prime player in helping keep the authentic wheels of Balearia turning all over Ibiza, a DJ of such high standing that you may not even have heard of him. This is the man who, in the space of a fortnight, has generated national UK press headlines for getting Prince Harry, Kate Moss and the British Prime Minister, David Cameron to throw shapes on the dancefloor, who has been name-checked in the Sunday Times as a key reference in the social calendar of every Sloane Raver, who played a stonking set at the Rolling Stones after-party at Glastonbury and a man who, most of all, is happiest hiding out in his Ibiza abode, making music and loving life.
Not for him, the notion of ‘joining a colony' of brainwashable buffoons, quite the contrary. As one of the instigators of the original house music scene, back in the day, beside the likes of Danny Rampling and Nicky Holloway, Bryans already proved his worth a long time ago. These days, in Ibiza, his reputation as a proper party-starter stands strong. We highly recommend you add one or more of the following happenings to your Ibiza itinerary:
FLAG THE DATES:
ANTZ @ SACCA … EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT, OPENING PARTY 25[SUP]th[/SUP] JULY
Antz has long since been associated with the venue formerly known as Aura, now SACCA, having held his very successful DJ residency there every Friday since 2005. Now under new management, Antz' reign continues on the Sant Joan Mile every Thursday through summer, with a number of guest DJS popping in along the way just to add to the melee…
ANTZ & FRIENDS ‘PLAY IT BY EAR' AT IBIZA ROCKS HOUSE @ PIKES, EVERY SUNDAY
Three years in and Antz is still going strong at Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes Hotel, turning every Sunday into a reason to be cheerful with his ‘Play it By Ear' parties proving the perfect complement to the hotel's Sunday Roast. With guest DJs including the best of the best in local talent plus a few very special surprise sets along the way.
SUNDAY 28[SUP]th [/SUP] July : East Coast to East End, Antz' Guest DJs are Arthur Baker and Patsy Palmer!!!
********
IN OTHER NEWS, and as per last year, Antz' formed part of the hand-picked line up of DJs chosen to play at legendary DJ Carl Cox's recent birthday celebration at Sands Ibiza. Bit of an honour, no matter what way you look at it, more so when we tell you that Antz is also confirmed for Cox's annual September gathering, also at Sands. The big man summed it up beautifully: “Antz knows his music, works the crowd, plays for the occasion. There is something to be said for us older guys!"
Being the private party DJ of choice both on the island and back on his native turf in the U.K, Antz is continuously booked to play at an infinite number of high society and private parties summer and winter alike, the half of which are so hush-hush we don't even tell you about them!
But aside from his constant gigging, Bryans has spent the past six months barricaded in his studio, working side by side with respected DJ/producer Anthony Gorry (recently landed from producing the latest No Doubt comeback album). The duo, collectively known as Drop Jackson, are currently putting the finishing touches to their joint EP and amongst other tracks, their remix of the Pet Shop Boys, ‘Vocal', has already been approved by the PSB and is due to be unleashed in the Ibiza clubs before summer is out.
Lastly, an update on Antz's continuous charity work. Ever the philanthropist, most recently, Antz massively stepped up at the 1st Ibiza Charity Polo Cup, as linker and headline DJ at the event, held in June. Organisers Ibiza Delivers handed over a very commendable 8,000€ to the AECC (Spanish Cancer Assoc, Ibiza & Formentera Branch), proceeds of the first such event at the Ibiza Polo Club . A great result for all involved in the event.
Coming up on 1[SUP]st[/SUP] September, and Antz also stars on the line up at Freddie Rocks Ibiza, an annual event held in aid of The Mercury Phoenix Trust, an organization set up by the remaining members of supergroup Queen, after the passing of the band's frontman, Freddie Mercury, and raising funds for HIV + AIDS patients. This is the third year that Ibiza Rocks House has hosted this particular charity event, a cause close to their own hearts, Freddie Mercury having played such an important role in Pikes' history.
As for this week though, we'd like to speculate that our mysterious Man of Music may well be slipping through a back door at St.Mary's Hospital, summoned by Queenie herself to set the occasion of the Royal Baby Arrival to some sweet, sweet music. For when it comes to Antz these days, nothing, and we mean, nothing would surprise us…
There are certain things round here that definitely need to be changed and then, there are other things where the old adage, ‘If it ain't broken, don't fix it' definitely applies. Anthony Antz Bryans' current DJ residency at Sacca, formerly Aura, is a fine example. For that reason, as of TONIGHT, FRIDAY 16 AUG, you'll find the island's most respected private party DJ doing what it is he does best- kickstarting the island's weekends in his own inimitable by way of a subtle and very harmonious shift back to Fridays from Thursdays for our man with the cans.
Long since associated with the highly reputable restaurant cum lounge bar on the Sant Joan road, having held his very successful Friday night DJ residency there since 2005, Antz is considered a part of the venue's bricks and mortar foundation ever since those formative days, having helped place the destination location on the map for residents and visitors alike practically since its beginnings.
Now, with the restaurant/lounge bar under brand new management and with a brand new name and concept, Antz & Co are over the moon to announce that, after an initial first few weeks of taking over Thursday nights at Sacca's Lounge Bar, Kuro, our main man is back behind the controls of the venue's DJ booth this and every Friday till we tell you otherwise. filling the dancefloor to bursting with both the island's top party people as well as Antz' own impressive crew of international movers and shakers.
In keeping with Sacca's sophisticated style, Antz' sound is the perfect fit and this, coupled with his ability to read his crowd, makes him the DJ of choice for those looking for an after dinner drink and dance. But, lets not get carried away, this is no underground rave, no typical Ibiza club night. This is something else, something for the more discerning individual, and considering that Sacca is a high-end, Asian dining experience, with award-wining Australian chef Lex Hauser at the helm, and a menu that combines subtle Asian flavours alongside hand- picked superior Chinese, Thai and Japanese foods, there's really no excuse not to make a night of it. With that in mind, we highly recommend you get your troops together, book a table and enjoy the meticulously prepared dishes on offer at Sacca.
Post-fine dining, or even during, and it would be rude not to take advantage of the fact that this summer, German Techno God and aficionado of all things Japanese, DJ and producer Richie Hawtin, has relocated his own Sake Bar to Sacca, giving clients the opportunity to indulge in the alcoholic beverage of choice in the Land of the Rising Sun. Arigatoo, Richie San. (Oh! And did we mention the complimentary champagne for table bookings of 10+?!)
(Call SACCA to book, details below)
All in all, music to everybody's ears, we wager…we'd love to see you there!
