Anyone here listen to opera? Initially, I was only familiar with bits of the more popular works like Lucia di Lammemoor, La Boheme, Lakme or La Traviata because they were used in movies or commercials. Anyway, when I was in Ibiza in July, my friends and I were at the hotel getting ready to go out for my birthday at Pacha and I switched on a German channel that was showing this:

Their voices were so beautiful I couldn't turn it off. After noting that they were singing the British Airways ad, my next thought was, "Who's the brunette?!"
I found out later that it was the gorgeous Anna Netrebko. I got to see her at the Met Opera this Saturday night in "Romeo & Juliet", and she was muy fenomenal y mas hermosa. This being my first taste of the opera, I was unaware that the actors are not miked - I sat in nosebleed where the acoustics were amazing. Now a three hour opera won't be boring to watch anymore!
