Angie Stone - I wish i didn't miss u (KEVIN J VOCAL MIX)

I did';t want to say it.

In all fairness, why would anyone would touch this song when it's already been perfected?

Hmm what do i think.

Pony.

Are you a producer mate? If so, why bother remixing old classic tracks that you only stand to ruin?!

You're setting yourself up really.

personally, i found the track a bit repetitive, nothing to remember it by, and just plain rubbish..

I dont mean to sound an arse, but why not try making your own stuff instead of ripping off true artists?

Don't think that particular arguement is valid seeing as the version we all know and love started off as a bootleg...

Bit harsh... The actual track underneath isn't THAT bad. Maybe shortened to 5 mins with no vocal. Very reminiscent of the old NY dubs of '94 & '95....

which version? I don't know any version of this that was a bootleg. The ONLY good versions of this song (apart from the album original) is the Blaze remix and the Pound Boys remix.

As for this mix, yeah the vocal is WAY off the beat and ruins it completely. But the production isn't bad.

It was the pound boys version. Originally a bootleg called Stoneface.

I believe the full mix title was "Pound Boys Stoneface BOOTLEG mix" but will have to check the 12...

I'm confused though - bootleg as in mash-up of 2 different songs?

The Pound Boys mix is just the album vocal with a dance beat over it...

No two tunes together is a "mash up" a bootleg is an illegal copy. ie one where the artist/orig label make no money out of...

Bootleg - To produce, distribute, or sell without permission or illegally:

Mash Up - An audio recording that is a composite of samples from other recordings, usually from different musical styles.

Just confuse things, mash ups are also bootlegs 9 times out of 10

And therein lies the confusion!:)

Ah, OK. Yeah that is interesting then, because it was clearly the most popular version.

Loved the 'daytime' mix by Blaze as well though. Memories of Kanya at 2pm come flooding back... The day I got there the Kanya DJ didn't have a clue what song I was talking about, so he downloaded it... by the end of the 2 weeks it had become an official Kanya staple :D
