I'm planning an over night trip to Ibiza from Mojorca in June. I might go to Pacha. I'm very confused with buying tickets for a club. I'm from New York City, and here's how the manhattan clubs work: Girls get in free when your on a promoters guest list. You walk right up to the door and I can get right in, no waiting in line. And the promoters serves us drinks from his bottles. In other words, I'm use to the VIP scene. Are the promoters the same in Ibiza?

Doubt it is going to work like that for you in Ibiza. Finding free drinks is going to be very hard to find unless you find a guy to buy them for you. And your going to need a ticket to get in. The lines move fast, but I doubt there going to let you in for free based on your looks.

what do you look like Andrea? post a picture.

maybe we can judge whether you have the VIP x-factor?

I also am used to the VIP scene.....of birkenhead & manchester. We get our own special entrance at branigans & red bull/vodka is available by the pitcher for £4 a pop. Burberry wearers get an extra £1 off the door entrance.

Is this the kind of thing that mean in Manhattan?

The problem with getting on the list is that you must play rugby league with the door men or bingo with their wife - again, is this similar to manhattan?

In all seriousness I would guess that thankfully Ibiza would appear to be alot more meritocratic than NYC & would guess its friends, workers etc only for VIP (unless you wish to pay out a few hundred euros for a seat at a table)

Thanks everyone. Its really not difficult to be VIP in the Manhattan club scene, if you're a girl. The promoters found me on myspace. I don't pay for anything becuase I know them. What happens, the promoter has a table and I say at the door i'm at the guys table. At the table, the promoter has grey goose vodka with oj and cranberry juice. I'm only gonna be in Ibiza for one night. So, I'm cool with paying

So, where is the best site to buy tickets? What's the best night at Pacha? Or does any one have any better ideas on where to go? what's the best night out? Tues and Thurs night is really good in Manhattan, besides the weekend of course.

well, THIS is the best site to buy tickets of course! 8)

here you'll find all parties listed and for many of them, you'll be able to buy tickets in advance: http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/events

it's very hard to pick just one "best" night in ibiza. every single night you'll find yourself thinking about which club you want to go...

btw, is it true that they want to convert the former limelight/avalon
into a mall 8O :?

Thanks I'll check it out Maybe Pacha, because I went in Manhattan and its world famous. but, I'm just open to ideas.

Avalon is still open, but I don't go there. I went to the limelight when I was 16 once. Home, Stereo, Cain and Guesthouse is really good. Cain and Guesthouse plays house. Home and Stereo play hip hop.

Oh, thats not bad at all. Thanks

If you go to Pacha, as you implied, 60 euro's is pretty normal. But that's at the door. If you buy them in advance they're somewhat cheaper. 50 euro's or something.

Thing is, last year a couple of my friends bought tickets for Pacha in advance somewhere on the island and they paid like 45 or 50 euro's. Me and another friend of mine bought them at the door and they were sixty but WITH a free drink. The pre-tickets did not include a free drink. This not only levels the prices but when pre-tickets are 50 euro's and door-tickets are sixty, you're cheaper of at the door! Just get yourself a free Red Bull (which was 13 euro's last year) and all of the sudden your ticket did not cost 60 but 47 euro's.

Anyway, to make a long, boring story short, I really doesn't matter if you buy in advance or at the door. Not for the price and not because there might be to much people inside. Pacha always has room ;)

Hope you have a great time!
