Hi folks!
I'm going to Ibiza this August for the first time, and I'm excited about it. I'm going there alone. I would like to enjoy sunbathing, swimming and relaxing on a beach. I'm wondering if it's going to be safe to leave my stuff (of course nothing valuable I mean. Just a T-shirt, trousers or skirt and some coins for buses and so on) on a beach while I'm in the sea. Are there usually life guards or cafes where I can leave stuff with some tips on beaches? I believe that there are some people like me, someone who enjoys his or her time in the sea alone. What do they do with their 'minimum' belongings :?: ?? I heard that there are lots beautiful and nice beaches in the island so I would like to try not only one of them but some of them. But then, I at least have to put on some clothes and have some coins to go from one beach to another, don't I?? Or should I stay in a hotel which has a beach right in front of or next to it (this sort of hotels are really expensive, aren't they?) and stick only to its own beach not taking any risks?? If anyone could give me some advice, I would really appreciate it! Thank you :D !

Hi virginie, how you doing?

If you go to a nice beach, somewhere like salinas, you'll find that the majority of people are very friendly and helpful, and your clothes will be quite safe..

when are you planning to go?

I think you will be very hard pushed to be alone on any of the main recognised beaches in August but it may be possible to have some peace and quiet early in the morning on some of the other out of the way beaches, particulary if yoy have access to a car.

I have been lucky enough to have some lovely chillouts just as the sun is rising.

As far as leaving stuff on the beach. I would take clothes that you aren't particulary bothered about losing - if someone is sad enough to take them you won't miss them but if you are going to keep your decency you will need something to walk home in !

There are some little waterproof bags available on the net. Think they are called Aquapacs ? . . they may be worth thinking about. Just enough room for a credit card, bit of money, phone etc.

PS - I like your style. I'm planning on some similar ventures this June but will make sure my wife is with me :)

In many beach, U can leave your clothes alone, but u always need to have a "light" look on them...ibiza is not the eden, thieves can be every where...I will send u some peacefull and cheap "near the beach" hotel until the end of the week 8) 8) 8) But you'll have to tell me if u prefer an hotel near a big city (like san antonio or ibiza) where there are more thieves, or an hotel a little bit far from those big city (but more quiet)...
