Hello,

I am wanting to go on holiday as i havn't been on one for 3 years!! :-( is it a bad idea to go to ibiza on my own?? all my friends are otherwise engaged! :-(

Please help x

Go, I would like to have the courage to do so.
My friends are just available in the summer, so in winter I would like to go to spend the weekend to London, Venice, Paris and I don't go because I haven't got anybody, but this winter things going to change and I going to go on my own.
Dont give up you holydays in Ibiza :D :D

I would come with you...but I'm skint!

What about a sister or cousin or someone in your family that you get along with? :D

Unfortunately I only have two cousins in there early teens! Older sister is buying a house and my younger sister is going to uni, my bro has just come back from Zante and made me jelous with his nice tan! With me being 23 i don't wanna be going with my 18yr old bro!

I've been on my own to concerts and trips to London but its the making friends bit that will be hard i'm not good at doing stuff like that :-(

Cool! Thats when i want to go :-) But i wanna go for two weeks!! I'm not gonna book anything till mid August anyway coz i don't like parting with my money I hope to go for £300 or less, have seen some deals on the net already. But if i'm going on my own shall i just go anywhere or will i be ok in San Antonio/bay?

im booked up and staying in the bay

i've just came back from a trip there and i stopped in the bay for the first time.

I've got no complaints i'll be stoppin in the bay for all my future trips to the island :D

you missing me for a week.

Hi !

I just got back from a "solo" trip end of June. I'd definitely say GO FOR IT !!!

As it was my 7th holiday on the island, I already knew some people and hung out with them. But all of them work and only have 1 day off / week, so some days I was completely on my own.

No prob, I rented a car for the week and discovered the island, which was really great. Get in touch with local people or someone that has been on the island several times, they can tell you where the nicest spots are. If you're a littlebit "social" it's not so hard to make new friends. Ibiza is paradise !!!

I'll be back in september for two weeks (4th-18th), with the rest of the gang this time, can't wait.

Good luck !

I've gone on my own the past 2 years. Similar reasons in that my friends are either married/have partner, living in Oz or the USA, are skint or just plain stingy

So I thought sod the lot of them and just decided to go back to Ibiza on my own. This year I was also meant to be on my own again however it's looking likely that I will now have some company this year.

Hiya guys,

Thanks for all your support. What places have you stayed in and did you have single rooms or have to pay a supplement for the privilege of staying in 2/3 occupancy accomodation?? Can you recommend any good hotels/appartments?

I assume you are booking from the UK? Unfortunately it is almost impossible to get a cheapish apartment outside of the 'no go' areas of San An Town. Believe me I have tried.

A hotel is probably your best bet, pricewise. 2 years ago I stayed in the Fiesta Algarb in Playa den Bossa.

Last year I stayed in a hotel Fiesta S'Estanyol in San An Bay (http://www.hotelclub.net/hotel.reservations/Fiesta_SEstanyol_Hotel_Ibiza.htm).

Nice enough location for S'Estanyol but the single rooms were awful, stuck at the back of the hotel without a balcony. So I upgraded after a few days to a double room at the front with balcony, cost me an extra £250

This year I am paying well through the nose to stay in the Jet Apts. I had to book it for 2 people to get in there via a package holiday, as that still works out far cheaper than booking your own flights and paying the nightly rate. So I paid for 2 people in an apartment that can take up to 6, so I am also paying for the under-occupancy of 2 people! Luckily someone else is probably now coming out to stay with me for 10 of the 14 days so that will soften the blow.

Best of luck!

Some cheap hotels are Hotel Galfi - funny location but near ES etc.
Ses Savines - cheap but rooms over kitchens
Riveria - bit more expencive but good views
All on this web site, but bookable and cheaper else where
