Holiday booked for Ibiza September this year!
Getting a good deal with Alamo Car hire - can anyone confirm if the car would be collected at the airport or if a shuttle bus to the premises would be required?

Cant say for certain but if its a good deal ie cheap, you will most likely be shuttled and paying for a full tank of fuel on arrival.

Checked on their website and you get a full tank of fuel on collection, then you return with full tank. Was aware of that scam!!
Alamo is part of the 'National Car Rental' group. In Spain, the local franchise is called Atesa.
I have booked with an Alamo voucher in the post using special discount offer codes, and the contract was fulfilled by Atesa, which has in-terminal desks to do your contract in the baggage reclaim and you pick up your car from the car park building to the left hand side as you exit the terminal (a few minutes' walk). This company also keeps the keys in the car park building office so you show your contract to get your keys.
You don't pay for a tank of fuel when you collect the car, but unless you return it full they will charge you a fuel plus a refuelling charge so make sure to fill up before taking it back.
I reckon if you book it the collection instructions will somewhere refer to Atesa !

I think he might pay extra for out of hours delivery. They close at midnight, I think.
I am going from 12 to 16 september. When are you there?

I booked my car through a broker and terms said return full and on arrival demanded 70 euros ffs gave me big rage. Read it in black and white! Just be aware, hope yours works out better then mine. Of course Im talking of over a 3 day rental if yours is 3 or less ignore

As Moha says, none of the companies with desks in the terminal stay open that late. You can get one from the likes of Hiper, BK and probably Autos Mari too up to about 2am but beware there will be an out-of-hours collection surcharge for them to bring the car to the airport or take you to it nearby (usually about 30Euros) and if the car is returned to the airport 'out of hours' with those companies (anything from about 10pm), there will be further additional costs.

If one is going to have to pay 20-30e to get to a hotel/villa, and then a bus or cab back the next day then the out of hours charge or picking up from resort may be the better option. At least they would have the car straight away.
