Airport strikes...

Dunno if any of you are aware but Newcastle Airport has scheduled worker strikes for this summer, two 48 hour strikes and two 24 hour strikes. The second 48 hour strike is on 21-22nd July. i'm scheduled to leave on the 22nd for Ibiza :cry:

Just wondering if anyone has past experience of airport strikes. How did they effect you and also whats the chances of it getting resolved before I leave? Are these things a regular occurence?
 
cant really help ross BUT, the date is still one month away. the chances of it being settled should still be pretty high. if it is still planned with less than a week to go, take a pillow to the airport :evil:
 
Yeah, might take an inflatatble pool and set it up in the airport :lol: its sucks how they can't just stick a couple of nights on the end if you lose a couple at the start due to delays...

take a box of biscuits... probable cause of the strike may be down to the rich teas being limited to 3 per person per tea break...
