Airport, how long from landing to exiting the terminal?

Hi everyone

Been a decade since I last visited, so I don't remember this little detail.

How long should I expect it to take from stepping off the airplane until I am out of the terminal?

The reason I ask is that I land after midnight September 12th and need to pick up a hire car and then haul ass to Colors at Es Paradis...

If it's a flight from within the EU then it's probably about 10 minutes by the time you get your luggage and head out the door. 15 mins max.

10 mins to get your luggage !!!!!!!!!!! its not offloaded from the plane by then, lol
when we,ve taken big cases not just hand luggage, its taken us over 40 minutes sometimes,to get out off the airport

Luck of the draw really. Last year, my bag was the one of the first out, so yeah like Morbyd says 10-15mins max. But then, if your luggage is last to turn up, you've a considerable wait.

Never been more than 20 minutes, even collecting bags, must the quickest airport in the world!

depending on which rentalcarcompany you choose some of them have offices
directly in the area where you wait for your luggage.
so sometimes you already have all paperwork done and carkeys in you hands
even b4 you have your luggage ...

I will probably go with Autos Mari, seems a lot of Spotlighters really like them. They have no office or desk in the terminal as far as I can tell, just meet you at the carpark.

Quickest was about 10 mins from stepping off tarmac to being out the door. Slowest was about half an hour as we had to wait for a bus to drive us about 30 yards

I should clarify that's my estimate from the time you walk in the door, so post-landing taxiing and (if needed) bus ride not included :)

in the 50 + times i have been over 30 years.5 mins from getting into terminal.nipping to loo, walk to the belt.and my case was just passing me.other times 10.15 mins.most 20 mins.like said its the fastest airport i have ever known.

thats fine if your on a hire car.out fast.or getting a taxi.but you lose all that time waiting for others if you on a tour pack hols.as you have to wait for other flights to come in and top bus up.only good thing is about that.time for a few smokes

should be quicker now to get off plane as by now the canopy (walk off plane) should of been passed now.

question is though why does it take some people so long to get out of there seat and walk off a plane.no rush at all.

None of those stay open after midnight when BOS arrives and none of them open again before 7am.

 all rentals IN airport close @ 11pm in ****ing main-season :?: :!: :spank:

don´t they stay longer and wait for you for some extra $$$$$$$$ ?
i always try to land between 7am and 2pm and avoid late evening or even night -
just because it sucks when it´s already dark

No, they will not stay open after midnight (it may say 11pm there but some individual companies do keep desks open until 00.00pm then they slam the shutters down until morning). So when almost all affordable London flights land after midnight or so close that you can't use the main hire companies, can you see why I get so annoyed at having to pay 30 Euros out-of-hours surcharge to get a b***dy car from a local company for 2 s*dding days or paying about 100 Euros more to fly in the daytime ? !!!!! One way or another you end up being totally ripped off :spank:

Landed late afternoon on Friday & had our slowest yet
Only 2 flights had landed & the other ones bags arrived & they all left
Our flights bags started to arrive 30 mins after we got to the reclaim, but only about 20 came, 5 mins later another 10, 5 minutes later 6 bags & so on. We got ours after 80 mins !! But felt lucky as a couple with 2 kids & a very young baby got none of their bags :(
