You chicas are making me hungry, and it is only 9AM now. Rabbits are yummy. I find it easier to skin them than chickens… far easier.

Pigeons remind me of when I lived in Pakistan. The young ones are great for their meat. The older ones are good for soup.

When I went to Germany on my exchange when I ws at school, the family I was with lived in a really rural area. One day the dad went out and shot a pigeon for dinner. It was quite nice actually- but its not scanky grey pigeon, wild wood pigeon, which is much bigger.

The next day he came back with a deer :p

I made a seafood paella on sunday, it had cutle fish, squid, octopus, mussels, crab and prawns in it.

serves 3:

120 grams paella rice
1 pint of chicken stock
1 gram of saffron
1/2 tsp tumeric
1/2 tsp paprika
1 chicken breast
2 tsp tomato puree
1 large red bell pepper
1 large onion
seafood

This is too much guys for a Tuesday morning. I’m in the office, and y’all are talking about yummy dishes and hunting.:p

I have to meet this Dad. My kinda guy. Were they pretty well off? I am thinking one has to be decently affluent to go and hunt deer in Germany. I may be wrong, but I am curious. Game meat is so much better than farm raised meat. It tends to be very lean.

This reminds me. I have to call one of my friends and go hunting for some jack rabbits on his property. Time to put the .22 rifle to some real use.

I printed off a load of paella recipes and I found a few with wine added, I suppose to give it a bit of ooh la la. I think it sounds quite nice.

Sirens, I can't see wine in it, but I love the proper fish paella ;)
do you use plain water?

I just love the fish. Sadly live with a veggie so don't get to enjoy it too often apart from out in restaurants. My ex-flatmate's parents owned an oyster farm so we used to get deliveries and enjoy them, with cava, in the park on a sunny day. Ah, memories.
