Afterlife v ELROW

Nostalgic

I fly sept time, 14th - 18th. I want my last dance at space to go the distance. I love the discotech room thats where i fell in love with it. Having looked at the calendar it seems like carl cox with carola on the line up will blitz that week

After reading that its only the terrace open for afterlife, im not to keen on that night. Although I love tale of us and would look forward to seeing dixon. And after hearing all the hype over the ELROW partys im in two minds what to do!

I love my techno and house. Opinions please!

That particular Afterlife night will be one of the most coveted lineups of the whole season, for me it is a no brainer. But i would also do both if the funds allow it, go for the music Thursday and go for the party on Saturday!

Just wanted to see which id enjoy the most before booking tickets.

The only thing with ELROW is i fly back early on sunday morning so would have to be leaving as soon as it finishs. But hey thats how memorys are made :twisted:

I did think that about afterlife but the discoteca is a big deal breaker for me. Ill have to tell the misses to stop the monthly magazines and use candels instead of electric for a few months to save up :lol:

I have a feeling afterlife will be in the discoteca after a few weeks, just buy tickets for both and if no discoteca come september cancel them a couple of days before for no cost. Afterlife all the way for me and i would prefer it on the terraza, happy deciding.

Such a shame you're missing cox in his final year! I get there on the Tuesday and will be at Space for Cox, Afterlife and Eleow.

I'd have picked those nights anyway however, this being Space's final year, it just makes it all the more easy to decide to go to those nights.

Stivi, weren't you speculating on the same thing, that it might be moved to the main room if it's popular enough ?

I prefer the terrace, there's something about that place that makes it better for me than the main room, maybe the more intimate vibe.

I would just do both parties. 25 Euros for Afterlife ain't bad at all and that September 15tg date is arguably the strongest date of the entire Afterlife season!

I stayed on the terrace at coxys nights for over an hour last year. Was a great disco vibe but the soundsystem didnt sound that basey

I don't think so.
I honestly think that the terraza will not be big enough to house the ravers who want to attend this new night with such strong names, just my thoughts, btw, what is the actual capacity of the terraza?? 1500-2000?

oh I'm very much aware that I originally brought up this thought. I put it as a possibility, but I personally really don't bank on this whereas it seems that some of you take it for granted already that they will move to discoteca instead of using terraza.

there are various factors that lead me to believe that it's unlikely to happen. one, matteo and carmine have been vocal about the fact that they really want it to happen on the terraza. two, IF they did the move to discoteca then that would mean a room that's suddenly double the size and at the same time it would also 'endanger' the chamber room (el salon), because it would be far off from everything and as a consequence almost certainly not get busy enough. see, the way it's planned out now (starting in sunset terrace first and then include terraza and el salon) it's all nicely connected in the front area of the club. and it's just obvious that they will prefer to have these three areas very very busy instead of having the discoteca only nicely busy and risking to sacrifice the other two rooms almost completely.

we don't need to discuss the musical quality of that night - I've been very vocal about this right from the start. a lot of proper fans will go to that night and I'm sure it'll do fine. but people need to keep in mind that especially this year, lots of people that are maybe not that much 'into it' will do space already on tuesday, saturday and /or sunday so they might want to hit another venue on a thursday instead.
