hi all

me an my m8 are goin to ibiza on july the 13th for one week. we hav never bin to ibiza before but always wanted to go. where stayin in san antonio or at least five mins away, an the hotel is called the pacific or sumthin.
Just wanna know how easy/expensive it is to get round the island to the different clubs and beaches. We are lookin to take 1000 euros spends to tie us over for a week, in which we wanna deffo visit cream, cox at space and pascha and maybe manumission. Will this be possible with the budget im on? Also any recomendations on other lesser expensive clubs/partys wud be great

thanks!!

The best way to get around, especially if there are two of you is to hire a car. It will be much cheaper than getting taxis and this way you can get to all parts of the island.

I still hire a car even if I'm going on my own.

Clubs get dearer the nearer it is to August - if you're taking 1000 euros each, you could still do the things you want - although have drinks before you get to the clubs as they'll stitch you up about 10 Euros for each beer and more for spirits. Some of the clubs used to refund your taxi fare if you get a receipt and there are three or four of you (so see if you can meet people in the taxi que who are going to the same place) - not sure if they still do this. You can save money by getting the disco bus that runs all night from San An (but it's pretty busy) and I think if you get your tickets from certain places (like Cafe Mambo) they were laying on a bus to the club too - but check first.

Other tips are that you get groups of promoters walking round some of the beaches giving out writbands for free entry to certain nights (Salinas beach is a good bet for this, but it's over the other side of the island to San An).

If you want to go to other beaches near San An then there are boats from the harbour there that run every half hour to various beaches and don't cost more than a few Euros, or buses which are even cheaper.

You'll find loads of places that are cheaper than the "big clubs" and well worth going to (although a lot of these places shut by 4am now I think). Get the bus over to Ibiza Town for a night - loads of places there near the Marina (but drink prices are quite high), head to Bora Bora/DC10 if you get a chance (they should get going about 4.30pm this year because of the new licensing restrictions) and if you stay in San An have a walk round and you'll find enough pre-club bars that are decent (along the Sunset Strip for example).

Have fun
