Advice on travelling alone

Hi folks,

I am new to the forum and looking for some advice on travelling to San Antonio alone. I am heading out of Glasgow on Friday 4th September and landing at 8pm. I want to drop my bags at the hotel and get myself to Friday Trance night at Eden though I don't have a ticket yet. I do have tickets for the Driftwood Boat Party and Captured. I am meeting some folks out there so should be ok but I wanted some advice on travelling along and what I should prepare and what I should watch out for and also places I should be checking out.

I have been in Ibiza once before (about 10 years ago) which ended badly with me ending up in hospital after a seizure in Space. One thing I am worried about is getting to passport control and then asking for the bill I never paid on my return to the UK. Will this still be on record?

Colleagues have recommended I get an EHIC card to cover any other instances where I end up in hospital, let's hope that doesn't happen!. What else should I arrange, obviously travel insurance and of course Euros.

Apart from all the preparation what else should I be looking to do on the Island, I am only there a few days but a major trance head. Been told to get myself to Tropi, anything else I should consider?

Good eating joints and places in general to check out?

I suffer from photo sensitive epilepsy hence me going on the boat party and Captured as its all day festival. I want to try and avoid the massive clubs as the strobe lights will most likely be too intense for me.

Anyway appreciate any help, tips and advice you can give for an only traveller from Scotland.

Cheers!

I wouldn't worry about being pulled up at passport control. Unless they check here and will be waiting for the 8pm flight from Scotland to hit you with your bill

If money is no object your quickest option is to get a taxi. Think this will probably be around 25 - 30 euros. If money is an option then theres a regular bus service on the hour. Number 9, its about 4 euros.

If you drive you should be able to rent a car for the same price as you'd spend on a taxi, and you'd then have a car sitting there in case you wanted to cram in a bit of sightseeing in between being out and about.

If you're planning on being steamboats the entire time then thats probably not the best idea (but for example you could be out on it all night friday and saturday and decide to go somewhere different sunday afternoon/evening in the motor, such as benirras).

If you're sticking to san an, tapas restaurant just down a wee lane across from ibiza rocks bar, es ventall for traditional food, ibiza rocks house gets a good name for its sunday roast (5 mins away in taxi) - search youtube for wham club tropicana, tijuana tex mex, davids near sunset strip does a decent pizza/salad/drink/desert/chupito deal. You'll no doubt be at cafe del mar/mambo etc for sunsets but other local options are kumharas or la torre. If you have the car, your not far from santa gertrudis (bar costa for bocadillos) or san rafael (can pilot for meatfest, es tanco for pizza).

If you need buckfast you can stock up in wips.

Also if you had the car you could get up early monday morning, head over to ibiza town for breakfast and explore dalt vila for a few hours before heading to the airport and dropping the car off again.

Cheers folks. No car required this is a pure trance session party. Taxi, music, food? and whatever else I can fit in. What time is judgement Friday open and how do I get a ticket? Taxi to hotel, drop bags change n club :)

if youve had a seizure before I'd also add know your limits , if you're on your tod its easy to push things abit further by accident than you might with your mates around
