Hi All;
Been to the island many times but now looking to stay in the north of the island for maybe some five day breaks.
Would thoroughly appreciate any advice on this?
I would probably be flying Solo and looking at dates...October----December 2013. Thanks.

I think the first thing you need to do is look for available flights and accommodation.
This should influence your decision.

well if you really want a very quite break up there is fine.hurry up though as flights all change end of oct.and its will cost you a lot more to get there after then.and harder to fly direct from local uk airports.all the big tour ops and easyjet etc stop going at the end of oct.looking at your name if it is you.you would know.?.lol

There are direct flights with BA from London City airport which I had forgotten about, not ideal if you live in Scotland though!

Thanks for all the good comments so far, much appreciated.
Yeah, good advice..check out flights first from Glasgow and then book.
I usually stay with Bertollo and Mercedes at the Sol Bahia,Cala Des Moro,Sant Antoni.
I had to give up the Bevvy over 8 years ago,so now looking for different style of holiday.
Too old now for a full blown 2 week bender!@!@.
No, Woodruffe I am not the Eivissa legend that is the Block---there is only one Blockster!@!..thank God.
Did see him do an impromptu set in Nightlife in the West End back in 1995 though!!!!..Beautiful., The Music never Dies.

last time i saw B/B was back in 85 doing a outside gig in san an,the venue that used to be passed eden open air it was.mine you in those earley days you saw all the uk up and coming uk jocks.

no it was a bit passed es paradis.it had like sails for roofs.in those days you went into abar in the westend you was given a free shot buy a beer and you asked for club tickets.around 12 midnight you would see what you had and bash all the clubs.

Nice one Woody.
Proper times indeed, that would mean you could try all the clubs and not have to book tickets online etc.and just go on gut instinct;on any given night/day!!

^^ I pretty much still do that to be honest. Unless someone has been kind enough to put me on a guestlist ! Having the flexibility to see what you feel like doing on the night and then head out without pressure of advance commitment is one of the best things about partying.

^^Yeah you're right Kimajy the best nights are always the spontaneous ones no matter if it is at home or on holiday.Obviously we have to plan things to a certain extent but that is the beauty of flying solo sometimes as you seem to do a lot when visiting the island{re, your holiday reviews} you don't need to please anyone and make arrangements.
By the way, by reading your reviews and others on this site it gave me the courage to go for it.
I tried to book a short break yesterday.Thursday.I contacted Bertollo and Mercedes direct at the Sol Bahia{Cala Des Moro} and they had availability until Monday.then they shut for the season.
But when I tried to book a flight from Central Scotland[Glasgow,Edinburgh and Prestwick] there was no Easyjet or Ryanair flights----the best I could get was......£600.00 GBP with BA. one way:twisted:.
So needless to say I am still in Glasgow and not La Isla Blanca:cry:

Glad they were inspiring - I sometimes read back and wonder whether I should have written all that on a public forum lol.

If you're flexible with dates still loads of bargains. But September is has been really expensive to go last-minute booking a day or two before travelling these last years even from the Midlands or London/Bristol. Usually minimum £200 - £250 with direct flights. Has been worse than closings time and some dodgy weather to boot !

Wednesday - Sat next week is £120 return though .. from Glasgow with Thomas Cook. That's pretty fair ... and enough time to pick up some long white socks and a bum bag in the sales :D

1\ Not at all,all your reviews were excellent--you just have to look at how many views you get.
As for the public forum bit,we are all anonymous--only those we choose to meet in Ibiza or reveal our Identities to will know who we are...nothing at all to worry about mate IMO.
2/As far as the flights go I think I will just leave it for now,,,,,Eivissa was calling the last few days but it wasn't meant to be,I'm a great believer in Fate and there was too many obstacles put in my way.The great provider will decide when it's my next trip I think. I also have a wee cat...so I have to organize my Family to come and feed her before I can hit the Island anyway.
3/ As far as the knee high white socks, Rab C Nesbitt vest and bum bag go,well ah cannae lie, they were the first things in my bag mate:lol:.
