Hey everyone,

I just got back from an amazing week on the island, and cannot wait to go back next year.

I'm planning on coming over with a large group for 1-2 weeks and we'd like to rent a villa. Does anyone have any advice on what companies/websites I should (or should not) consider when making these arrangements? Any horror stories?

Thanks!

tex

bring your own security-staff

now thats a bit bad on people who own villa;s on the island don;t you think.it may be a problem to some.but not on others.anyway i feel its up to the owners to have good security.

would think a private apt would be better.as most villla;s can be well out the way.in the hills.

i do have a site for private apt in playa den bossa.if you need it pm me

i have had villas the last 4 times i've been,i've always used jamesvillas always found them brilliant ,reasonably priced clean and if any problems do appear you call there rep marianne who is so cool...
agree that most villas are out of town and you do end driving alot, which ain't too good if you like a drink:twisted:

A little paranoid I think. Just because you had problems, there is no need to try and scare off others. Crime on Ibiza is very small compared to the rest of Europe even during the summer and if you were burgled I would think that it was an inside job; every burglary that I have heard of on the island has been. I know tons of people who rent villas here every year and have had never had a problem.

thabklyncowboy asked for some personal experiences. this was mine,
so why don´t you bore off and mind your own business ...

dream on ... this summer there is a little bit more going on than normally -
many residents told me that (some of them living there between 10 und 25 years)...
... and it probably will get worse because of the bad economy ?!

that´s why i said: "bring your OWN ..." !!!!!!

... xxx is a good site for villas and apartments here.
aren´t you old enough that you should know the forum rules ?

ps:
sorry - i wasn´t aware that there are still some bright sparks around
who don´t know/understand the meaning of ":-))" !

Jesus, you're a bit touchy mate. I think that you need to chill out a bit. :)

although there is a risk its no much of a risk as anywhere else in europe. infact i would say alot safer. me and my parents started holidaying in ibiza in the seventies and stayed in quite a few villas in ibiza over the time on the hills above san antonio. and we have never experianced any probs and while chatting to our hollidaying neighbours never have they. maybe we have been the lucky ones. but somehow i dont think we are the only ones. on anouther note we went to tuscany in italy last year and the peolple staying next to us woke up screaming as they were being robbed whislt they were in the villa, and i believe its a much more comman apperance there.

LOL...compare to a big city like Paris maybe, but in my little town(23000 p.),the local daily don't says the same that Diario de Ibiza says every day....
