Hi folks hope u can help me out.

Have booked tickets for the Ministry Of Sound 15th birthday bash on Sat 9th Sep featuring Danny Rampling.

Ive got some accomodation sorted up towards the kings cross area and am comin down for the weekend on the train.

Now im no expert on london or where to go but hope I can get some advice on some nice bars to go to in the central london area, preferably with a nice crowd and good music policy, am into all sorts of vocal funky house sorta stuff.

Also are there any decent bars local to ministry of sound in the Elephant and Castle area?

Lastly what is Ministry Of Sound like as a club? Is it nice? Ive heard it has an outstanding sound system. I notice Jazzy M is playing that night as well, never seen him before so whats his music policy like?

Any help most gratefully received. Many thanks.

There is NO decent bars near Elephant & Castle - there is a Weatherspoons and that is it. If you're staying near Kings X you could go out in Islington/Old Street beforehand - there's lots of nice bars round thre. And if you're @ Old Street then you just can get the northern line down from there to Elephant & Castle.

I'd avoid the West End on a Saturday night.

Ministry as a club is fab - the main room (the Box) takes some beating as my of my all-time fave main rooms - big, dark and argueably the best sound system in the world.

The Bar is also good fun, it will be esp on Saturday cos Jazzy and Marc are both playing in there, expect lots of people dancing on the bar come 4am as the bar staff try and serve people underneath

Then you've got the Baby Box and now they've moved VIP there's an upstairs bar as well.

Jazzy was the first DJ to ever play @ Ministry so expect to hear lots of classics from the past 15 years to present day ;)

I for one cannot wait for this one :D
