I doubt that i'll be on here for quite a bit as tomorrow i set off on the adventure i've been wanting to do for years, more so after the year i've had this year...

From tomorrow until 13th September 2016 (back just in time for Space Closing - hopefully i can afford it!!!!)...

The plan is: Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Laos, Burma/Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Bali and Australia...

Hopefully see some of you at Space Closing next year... :) :) :)

enjoy ric, you deserve it! safe travels and see you for the last dance at space next year then!

As dirk said happy pizza, happy omelette or happy shake are a must..happy endings are ten a penny. but if I was you id keep all my gizz for japan and get right down and dirty...;)

Keep in touch .... pick up an unlocked mobile broadband dongle which you can put local SIM cards in to run your phone internet on wifi. Worth it if you're going to be somewhere for long periods.

Have fun !

Cool itinerary!

May well bump into you in the next 11 months! Will be doing South East Asia from March - July! Enjoy!

think ric has had a FAB time dealing with 24hours of delays at heathrow but I am assured he did get on his way eventually. Bon Voyage!

seen his facebook posts too. not an ideal start, but if you're travelling for 10 months, you're likely to experience quite a few situations like these so simply relax and accept things as they happen. it's part of travelling really.

^^ it's very true - He made it out on the 3pm to Bangkok, so finally off living his dream. All long dreams include their share of nightmare interludes - I guess in a way it's good to get one of them out of the way early on !

Good luck Ric!

(And pleased Heathrow has cleared as the missus is flying to Sweden from there this morning).
