Emmanuel Adebayor has insisted he is "staying at Arsenal" and that money would never be his motivation to move clubs.

The 24-year-old Togo striker has been linked with a move to AC Milan, with Barcelona also interested, following two-and-a-half years in London.

When asked if was staying at Emirates Stadium, Adebayor said: "Of course, I have three more years contract so, no matter what, I have to stay. I'm staying at Arsenal."

Speaking in Vienna with sportswear manufacturers adidas, Adebayor added: "I've three more years with Arsenal, I have a good contract, we have a good team there and I'm playing for one of the biggest teams in the world.

"The most important thing is to keep enjoying myself."

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has also been in Austria for the European Championship but the pair have not spoken yet about a potential move.

Should talks take place over a move, the former Monaco striker insists money will not be a factor.

"When I was young I had a dream to be a good footballer and play for a big team," he said. "I was born in Togo so I never cared about playing for money, my happiness was to play to enjoy myself. That's what I've been doing until now.

"You can see people changing clubs because of money, because they want a change of atmosphere or to get their names in the big leagues. I just play football to enjoy myself. I play because I love it."

Adebayor also discussed his determination to win trophies with the current Arsenal squad.

"You have a chance to play in a team where everyone is between 21-26 years old, we are all the same generation," he said. "We all have the same ideas, we go out together after games to restaurants.

"We all have the same ideas and we all want to achieve something. We have a good boss which is Arsene Wenger, he tries to bring this atmosphere to the dressing room where we feel like brothers and like family.

"Those are the reasons that give us a chance to play the football we play. We play good football, now we look forward to winning trophies."

Fair play to him, there's not many big name footballers around thesedays like this:!:

he aint a big name

Vennegor of Hesselink is a big name.

booom tisk!

Don't tell me you believe anything he says? if he gets his way its either 100 grand a week at arsenal, or a move.

also y'should remember that if he had had a bad season (same with ronaldo) the clubs would have sold them on at the drop of a hat, it's all wel and good banging on about loyalty, but it cuts both ways.
