A simple overview of ibiza so far... Although Ibiza is an awesome place,as an humble raver for more than 10 years partying quite everywhere in the planet there is nothing like KAZANTIP. But the real one, the one in POPOVKA.

A friend of mine went there last year..he told me that the travel was a nightmare...

For a simple raver, Ibiza is a struggle and there's too much commercialization before the experience. It isn't relaxed and seems to get more and more of a caricature of itself every year that goes by. The tourist brochure feeling so many places you go. As there is no way nowadays I can have the luxury of dedicating a whole week or so to go visit somewhere like Kazantip (enjoy the chance while you can :D), Ibiza is one of the next best things, but it comes with big compromises and there can be surely no comparison in spirit or focus.

Recently I am feeling the compromises (for me) are getting too much to make it worth raving in Ibiza, even when I am there and it is on the doorstep. When going out becomes an effort to deal with the people and attitude around then it's a waste of time, effort and money.

So Ibiza no longer about raving. The occasional party maybe but (perhaps long overdue) I think I'm closing the door on the big clubs for the foreseeable future. I still get excited about the thought of going partying in Berlin, especially in the Autumn/Winter, so it's not about going raving per se. But I get tired at the thought of going to Pacha, Ushuaia or Booom ! and what I am going to see and find when I get there (regardless of what I hear). If I had a week to spend just partying and had to choose Kazantip or Ibiza then I would try Kazantip over Ibiza any day.

Ah - well, if I have to apply to Russia for a visa to travel via Moscow there is no chance I will step foot in Crimea. Equally I won't travel anywhere via the USA. Both countries are off the travel map for me (even if it is only for transit !).

If entry to Crimea becomes possible without Russian permission on entry then I would consider it if I had the time. But I think this means travelling through Istanbul ?

It is a nice location and a nice concept. But travelling to Russia ? I don't think so !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You absolutely love dropping these wee titbits in don't you?!

Go on then, elaborate further Kimajy, even if it is in some kind of codespeak or euphemisms...

More fun to keep you guessing . Slightly different reasons in both cases. But morals and principles do come into it !

I dont consider myself a raver but a simple clubber. Ibiza is good.
