(sub)urban in ibiza pops up in san antonio.. friday 31st august @ ocean beach club
Following hot on the heels of the recent success of Urban in Ibiza's fourth edition at Atzaro Rural Hotel, and due to public demand, organisers of the island's renowned urban art extravaganza- URBAN IN IBIZA- have confirmed one final pit stop in Ibiza before setting off for the next destination on their international tour.
Ocean Beach Club- San Antonio's summer success story- is the venue confirmed for the one-day event that takes place this Friday 31st August from 4pm –midnight.
In keeping with Urban in Ibiza's philosophy, this surprise happening- aptly named SUB-URBAN- will be showcasing its' three great loves - art, music and fashion - only this time, they'll be doing it all within the 6000sq.m that make up Ocean Beach Club.
For those unfamiliar with the name, Urban in Ibiza is an annual showcase/party held annually at leading rural hotel, Atzaro, in Sant Joan, Ibiza.
Over the last four years, Urban in Ibiza has become undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Ibiza summer calendar, bringing together a wealth of urban art talent that, quite simply, is unmatched in the urban art world and which includes some of the greatest urban artists of our time. Amongst artists showing at this latest exhibition: Banksy, Goldie, Inkie, Fin Dac, Agent Provocateur, Pure Evil, Jim Vision, Mr. Trazo, Schoony, Ben Slow, Cept and many more.
As far as this final fling at Ocean Beach Club is concerned, organisers will be exhibiting a select number of the urban art pieces from the 2012 show including its star attractions – Goldie's recent portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and Banksy's ‘Barcode Leopard'. These and the other pieces in the show are available for sale.
DJs at the do are confirmed as Gianluca de Tiberis, Tom Crane, Samir and Dave Lubin. Island band Hot Ice are also confirmed for a repeat of their recent Urbantastic show, which included a spine-tingling performance from the local 30-piece gospel choir.
