Picture the scene. So there I am, having a casual play about about on the decks last night (as you do), only to my abject shock and complete surprise, I see I must have accidently knocked or pressed the record button, right at the time exactly where the "session" started and stopped, and so the session lasted pretty much bang on the length of a normal cd.
What are the odds?
So anyway, I thought I'd give it a quick listen, and as we were sitting at Bora Bora the other day, Ben reminded me it's a while since I last made a cd for him (I wouldn't say he was begging, but...), so I though I might as well keep it, y'know, just to shut him up like.
And then I'm thinking, right, I dare say I've taken a few mixes off you guys on here, so I suppose it's only fair I provide you with one of mine. Give and take, and all that.
So, after much deliberation, the tunes that made the final cut... Sorry, erm I mean... The tunes I happen to have randomly picked up consists of:
A few obvious bits that I'll claim are to keep my mates from home (i.e. people like Robbie G) interested
Tracks with mildly exotic drummy patterns (just to show a bit of artistry, like)
A few olden's I'd been looking to squeeze into a mix for a while now
and
Tunes which remind me of my recent trips to Germany, the Ibiza openings, and New York. (Ahhh, memories!)
I entirely apprecaite it's a bit too obvious for most on here, and I'm not trying to show off any ultra rare or revolutionary stuff (I've put all that on hold for a bit), there's a few (gimmicky!) bits that make it stand out and worth a listen.
If you do give it a listen, a quote 'n' smile and some message about how 'if there was any justice I'd be on my was to take over the musical world' or 'I'm actually sad that I know I'll never again have that moment I've just had where I've heard this cd for the first time' or similar, then I'd be most appreciative.
Bearing in mind the last cd I made and distributed had upfront rare stuff like Shined On Me, Blackwater and Wish I Didn't Miss You, so I hope you'll appreciate, it's quite a rarity that I bother to do these things.
Off the top of my head, the tracklist went something like:
Blaggers World - #1 (MLS Funk mix)
Martijn ten Velden - Wish You Would
Nu Electric No Matter What (TV Rock mix)
Til West & DJ Delicious - Same Man
Chris Lake - Changes (inc Finally acapella)
Chris Lake & the Trophy Twins - Babaloo
Outwork feat Mr Gee - Elektro (Cube Guys Delano mix)
Chocolate Puma - Always and Forever (Original Vocal)
Martin Solveig - Edony (Clap Your Hands) (Clapappella)
Copyright - He Is (Dennis Ferrer and Jerome Sydenham Inc Vox mix)
Ame - Rej (DW 'German Kiss' edit)
Josh One - Contemplation (Alex Neri Road Trip mix)
Ricky Stone - Shanghai Taxi (Deepgroove's Dirty House mix)
Pac Jam - Urban Minds

I'll be making cd's for a few pals, so if anyone wants a couple of tea coasters (My Crew (Ben, Rob, Russ etc) + other halves can expect these by default), then by all means drop me a pm.
Thanks for listening.
Please note I'm available for hire, Weddings, Birthdays, Bar Mitzvah's not to mention villa, boat, closing or opening parties!...
