A Case of Mistaken Identity

Arrest
The San Antonio Guardia Civil arrested a 40-year-old British graphic designer for having broken doors to a hotel which had not yet opened for the summer season and was adjacent to where he was staying in Cala de Bou.

He was found asleep in a room, having been spotted by the maintenance staff when they arrived for work in the morning. He had kicked the glass door to break it and gain entry and then broken the door of his chosen bedroom. The employees stated that he reeked of alcohol and seemed confused. He was taken in front of the judge later in the week and ordered to pay slightly over €3,000 to repair the damage sustained before he would be allowed to return to the UK.
