hi, going back to ibiza after a 2 year break but my brother is coming over with me any my girlfriend and he'd like to go to the likes of la troya etc.
what gay nights are around now ? I used to know of la troya at space but believe thats now moved to amnesia.
aware that ibiza town has a few bars etc ? is there a specific area ?

what other of the 'bigger' clubs has gay friendly nights ?

any recommendations would be great

there is still la troya in amnesia now though also matinee in amnesia, face of ibiza and Supermartxe at privilege. there is a street called the streeet of virgins that runs in behind the main shopping bit just ask someone where dome or angelos is and your on the right track there is a club called anfora in the old town its self but im not sure what its like for straight people there pacha also have a night called pacha seduction which is fairly open and i know martina had a night last year not sure its on again though. tis should help http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/gay/bars_i.htm

try this link

it's to our top secret gay area on our main ibiza spotlight site. over 18's only please.

" During the summer months you can find me every night from 8pm onwards in the Hotel Cenit, Figueretas, standing by the Pool-bar, rather sharp, slightly bitchy but always with an open ear. "

 Who wrote this then ??

IIRC

Matinee @ Amnesia (sat)
Cafe Ole @ Space (sat)
La Troya @ Amnesia (wed)
Pacha Seduction @ Pacha (most tues)

are considered gay-friendly nights

But, to be fair, almost any night in Ibiza is "gay friendly" at places like Pacha, Amnesia, Space, Privilege.

The difference is these (Matinee, Cafe Ole, La Troya, Pacha Seduction, Face of Ibiza, SupermartXe, GLAS) are more gay-themed.

cheers everyone.

loads of info there which ill send his way, ill prob go to one of the sat nights with him and ibiza town but wednesday is out the question for me with the line ups at Kehakuma

thanks again

Matinee!

Me and my girlfriend are going Matinee! When you out there danny? We're going 28th July for a week!

best gay night?

for my fourth trip to ibiza a gay friend joins us. of course he'd like to visit one of the gay parties. he's never been to ibiza, he does not care so i just wanna know which one of the big nights has the better music - troya or matinee? are they very similar? i expect cheesy house?

how much are tickets?

been going to latroya for the last 5 years and went to matinee last year for the first time music isnt that different but the show that is put on by matinee is so much better probably best night i have had does get very very busy though

I did Supermartxe, Matinee and La Troya in June this year.......have been doing these for the last few years.
Supermartxe - I was a little disappointed this year. Didnt enjoy Juanjo Martin's music but Ive heard him a few times this year (Supermartxe London etc) and havent enjoyed him as much as last year. I would still be prepared to give it another chance though as have had some really good nights at Supermartxe over the past few years. I always like the crowd. Its very mixed and a very big Spanish contingent compared to other nights.

Matinee - enjoyed it again in June. In recent years I think it has defintiely taken over from La Troya as the main "gay" night in the big clubs. Their show tends to be better than Supermartxe and it does get very busy but crowd is really good.

La Troya - was really really disappointed with La Troya in June. We did get there too early (by mistake) but it was really really quiet until 3.30am and even then it wasnt too busy. There was no atmosphere and it just didnt work for me. Seemed to have a lost its touch, although it could just depend on the week you go.

Ive been hearing good things about Cafe Ole at Space on Saturday which I believe has a gay influence to it. I dont know much about it but very tempted to try it out when I go back in September.

I will also say to you that even though I have classified all of the above as gay nights, they are so mixed and so friendly, like all of the clubs on the island that its not strictly a gay night per se. These nights just have a little more gay influence to them.

If there is one place on earth where Gay Nights are not needed its Ibiza! This is the most liberal gay-friendly, anything goes place on Earth (well almost). Love life, love each other, love who the hell you want – who cares! I'm sure I'll get shot down for this, but I do think that this kind of segregation belongs in 2010...let's all dance together!
