What a week - its taken a bit of recovery time - certain obvious details have been omitted….

Staying at amazing apartments in Playa D'en Bossa so had the perfect chill out place, very much needed.
Arrived Sunday 8th July from a disgustingly wet Gatwick - sun, so that's what it looks like…

Sunday evening was spent at an amazing restaurant in Talamanca. Fantastic Lobster Ravioli, good wine and a fantastic view of Ibiza Town. Our toast at midnight…'here's to this being the best we are going to feel all week…'

Monday was spent at Salinas with a great lunch at Jockey Club - 'fuel for that evening' one of out party pointed out.
By 7.30pm we were at DC10.
As usual this was the absolute highlight of my trip - 2 minutes in and I was thinking I was actually going to have to leave (it seemed SO SO loud) but of course I got used to it almost immediately. Sound system is out of this world - chunky and clear. Music erred somewhere between Deep House and Minimal (love love love) - had not been for 3 years and was definitely more accessible for some of the more housey guys in the group than back then. Chatted to loads of people too.
Moved from the terrace to main room for last 10 minutes - astonishing finale, impossible to describe.
Just go if you haven't been….

Tuesday was a sleepy day at Chiringay Beach and Tuesday night a chilled one in Ibiza town

Wednesday was in stark contrast to Monday clubbing wise - La Troya at Amnesia.
This is always a great night - really mixed, great music, insane shows….and its back at the Terrace in Amnesia which is one of my fave venues.
Having said that, it was a bit disappointing to be honest. Boy George was DJing for a while. He can't mix and the music was old. Did my head in. The show seemed a bit half hearted too although there was some strange and fabulous drag (actually got chatting to one of the Drag Queens the next day at Rock Bar in Ibiza Town - thought she was an glamourous ageing Italian. Turns out it was a Northern bloke called Eric. I am not kidding).
La Troya was followed by an apartment party back at ours and no sleep so Thursday night was food then bed….

Friday was Never Say Never at Ushuaia - Sasha. Pretty downbeat but decent music and it was not too packed. Felt good dancing outside and having an early-ish finish (midnight)….ruined it of course by going into Ibiza Town til 6.

Last full day spent by the pool and then Zoo Project (was curious). Did not stay long. Crowd were up for it but way too young and boozy. Loved the concept though and the music was great.

All in all then an ace week.
Not sure I could do it again in a hurry though….yeah right.

Annoyingly I didn't get the name.
we got the small boat over from Ibiza Town and it was the first stop (the right hand stop) and then just a short walk to the left. Was a smart place - excellent food.

THIS! Really enjoyed it but it was on boderline weather it would turn into a sort of cancun spring break pool party rather than a rave! i thought that due the the music it just pulled it off!

Sounds a nice fun week .. interesting feedback on Zoo - I've blown hot & cold about going again for years, never making it, and reading this I think I'm probably now 'past it' :!:

Friday night -. Never works that idea of going to bed after a day party !

How was Jockey Club ? Another place I haven't made it to for ages.

 @ "Northern Eric" !

I'd say average age of Zoo was 21.
Good fun crowd but I felt ancient. It was way cheaper than the big flu

Jockey Club was good, just get there by 11 to secure a decent sun bed and reserve a table for lunch.

A ****ing fortune. Seriously. Was expected though.
Got free entry to La Troya (guest list came round on Chiringay Beach), 15 Euro wristbands on the day for Ushuaia if in by 8pm (bought them from a ticket place opposite Space at 7.30pm) and Zoo was free as I knew someone. Even so, didn't really think about money to be honest. Was all worth it....although I swear the bottles of water get smaller every year.

I only ask because Im going for a week myself and planning on the same sort of holiday as yourself, going for nice meals in Ibiza town etc , Carl Cox closing, Cream closing, Ushuaia the Friday.

£800?
£900?
£1000?

MORE?

Ive been before but always nice to know how much people are spending this year when your saving yourself.

That's where I've been 2x now really great with fantastic beach access and views.

Going to try the Low cost apartment/hotel with a car option this time.
