English Riviera resident arrested for drunk driving
In Contes, an English woman has been arrested for drunk driving. Police were called when a passer-by noticed the 46 year old in her car at the side of the road, apparently unwell. Tests revealed a record alcohol content in her blood of 5.28 grammes – the highest ever found the Alpes Maritimes. The woman, a long-term Riviera resident, told gendarmes she had consumed one and a half litres of vodka because of personal problems.

us Irish can put away that amount of alcohol with the minimum of fuss
