 Ibiza, 28th October (FIX Ibiza).- With the Sant Rafel festival season is drawing to a close for another year, it's time for a final blast of fun, with Saturday 5th November the date for the diary when from 10pm, the closing celebration will take place on the streets and in the village tent.

The initiative, under the name PEACE & LOVE is set to be not only a nod to the past in so far as its musical soundtrack is concerned, it also hopes to define the present, bringing a younger sector of the public to Sant Rafel with the lure of its gastronomy, culture and location. Good taste and tradition, two things the Ibicenco village is renowned for.

 As an added incentive, the organisers of the event, who hope that the fiesta will become an annual one, have decided to join forces with Càritas Eivissa, and to that end, make a substantial donation to the charity from funds raised on the night of the event.

Already in place and ready to rock, local Djs B-Fly & Toga, known on the local scene for- amongst their many other talents- their popular winter events of old, GIRLZ SKOOL, are back behind the decks, microphone in hand and ready to lead the conga line through the village streets.

 In addition, organisers have secured the car park of Es Tancò restaurant in the village centre itself with the aim of turning it into a pop-up marketplace for the evening. Stands at the market are free to rent and subject to availability. One more reason to visit Sant Rafel on the night of 5th November.

Sticking with Ibiza's hippie-pueblo-party tradition, dressing up is half the fun. Anything goes in that department, as long as its retro! Those who really don't have a pair of flares to hand can rest safe in the knowledge that there will also be an opportunity to pick up dressing up bits and pieces on site at the event.

I was standing at the entrance to Bar Anita last month,a car pulled up and the driver leant across and asked me for directions to James Blunt's house :eek:

I didn't tell him of course,sent him on his way...
