I will be staying at a place with no available internet. I am looking into 3G access on a prepaid basis, anyone out there have any recommendations? I dont live in Europe so a monthly plan is not a viable option. Thanks

Sorry to boycott this with totally usefull information but since the weekend my local area now has awesome 3G service :D Waited for years for this!

Hello, can somebody answer for the original question please?

"I am looking into 3G access on a prepaid basis, anyone out there have any recommendations?"

Hey movistar is fast but very expensive and they give you only 100 mb !!!!

I was like - whuuuaat!!??

if you really want data, go with someone else. I ended up paying a small fortune in my movistar but whatever!

I have been using a masmovil prepaid SIM on my last two visits. Worked great in pdb (Orange Network as far as i know).
They also offer volume options for a 30day period, but you need to have at least 30€ on your card the first time you want to activate the Option.

I Bought a vodaphone simscard for 10€ but i does not work because i had to "unlock" my samsung's cellphone...so i was disgusted as i gave the simcard to my friend that borrow me his appartment...yes without 3g or free wifi it's a nighmare to be in touch ..

I bought a tuenti Mobil simcard for €12 which gives 1gb of data per month as pay as you go. I would still recommend a hotel with free wifi too.

i had yoigo, which is quite cheap. One shop is at beginning of Ibiza town, (almost in Figueretas), the girl there was speaking English and German.
the homepage is in Spanish only, so adding more credit is difficult (I'm not sure, if as a foreigner i had to go to the shop again).
