Flew out on Sunday 6th October with my girlfriend

Sunday - Landed about 745pm and got a taxi to Playa Den Bossa to sort out drinks for hotel ( stayed at the Hotel Algarb) . After throwing quite a few vodkas down us we headed to Cocos for a couple of drinks before making our way to Space for the closing. I think it was around 11pm when we arrived. First thing we did was head straight to to the outside arena which blew me away with its size. Carl Cox was on at the time and he was brilliant. We then went to the Discotech after that and spent pretty much the entire of our night in there with new friends we had met that night ( as you do in Ibiza ). The music was brilliant, we were at the back so I wasn't paying attention as to who was on but there was loads of room to dance, the atmosphere was spot on and before we knew it it was about 7am. So we headed onto the terrace to catch Carl Cox and to see who the special guest was he was playing back to back with which was Nic Fancuili. About 830am we went to the sunset terrace for a drink and to chill out. It was still really busy and you could see the sun was shining brightly outside. We decided to make our way back to hotel about 9am. We only had a couple of hours sleep and decided to go to the beach to sleep. The weather was abit dull by 1pm so headed back past Space and could still hear music coming out of Space over the road.

Monday - We end up waking up about 6pm after the heavy night we had at Space the night before. We went into playa Den Bossa and had a drink at Tantra before making our way to DC10 about 8pm. Wasn't really much of a que despite someone telling us we needed a ticket for 60 euros from him otherwise we would be queing 3 hours. Paid 50 Euros on the door and walked in to see it was rammed to the hilt. We tried our best to walk through the garden to get a drink which took us about 50 minutes if you include how long it took to get served. My girlfriend needed the toilet so we had to make our way to the back of the garden as the que for the toilets inside the club was out of this world. Took us about 30-35 minutes to get to a toilet. We then headed back into the club to see if there was more room on the terrace which there wasn't it was just as busy in there to the point you couldn't even dance. An Italian knocked his drink all down my top and walked away. At this point I was started to lose my temper so we ended up getting away from the place and got a taxi back to playa den bossa . We noticed on the way out there were hundreds of people blocking our exit trying to get in . All in all one of the worst nights ive been to. I doubt ill ever go to dc10 again after this.
We ended up going to murphys in playa den bossa and had a laugh there with few lads from London we met.
We also met a group of lads from Scotland. We went back to their room at the jets for drinks.

Tuesday - Tuesday morning we were still up drinking in the jet apartments , we noticed the sun was beaming outside so decided we would get loads of drinks and spend the day getting on it. This aswell as Space was probably the best thing we did . Im not sure what time we left the beach but we were there all day so we were both abit worse for wear so got a few hours sleep. Woke up Tuesday evening got ready and went for a meal in Sissis bar and grill which we both like as we have been a few times before over the years. Didn't really enjoy my food but I think this had a lot to do with what I had been taking the night before and all day on the beach. Ended up back at Murphys until about 1am.

Wednesday- Woke up thinking our flight was at 12:45 am when infact it was 11am so we almost missed our flight, Had to dart out the hotel and arrived at check in 5 minutes before it closed . Both of us ill, my girlfriend being sick all the way home on the plane ( nightmare) .

All in all had a brilliant 3 days, spent a fortune ( don't buy southern comfort and lemos on your card at Space!) . Ive been going to Ibiza since 2003 so this would of been my 9th time to the island and my girlfriends 5th. Im not sure if ill be going back again now. Ive done everything there and I just think for the money you spend out there you could do so many better things. Space was amazing and the only word for dc10 was horrible.

In 9 visits to the island Ive pretty much done everything I've wanted to do so yes I am sure. I've stayed different parts of the island, been to every club, I've hired luxury yachts and moored outside mambo for the sunset( something I always wanted to do) I've eaten in loads of restaurants around Ibiza. I've done the closings twice. For the money I spent getting ripped off in clubs for tickets and drinks to not even be able to dance is abit of a pisstake and it's put me off going back again. If I do it will be in a good few years after I have done other things

NOTHING worse than overcrowding. I walked away from Never Say Never at Ushuaia (before Sasha came on) due to not being able to get back through the crowd. At least it was free.

I was the same way a few years ago. Felt as though I was paying out so much money and maybe wasn't enjoying it as much anymore. Had a 4 year break and this year probably enjoyed it more than I ever have. Take a break but never say never.

I agree on the crowding and Circo Loco closing ain't something I ever want to go near again.

But as to the prices of everything, can honestly say that the best times I've had in Ibiza have been free. Well - sometimes a couple of Euros for parking but basically under a fiver all day all-in.

If you want to consume, consume, consume what others are laying on then you have to consider the cost equation. And very often that just doesn't add up. No way only in Ibiza either.

Im just gutted I left Space the time I did because listening to the Carl Cox Fancuili full mix on soundcloud it sounds amazing, played some proper classics. I could of easily stayed as I felt great at the time but in the back of my mind I knew I was going to dc10 later that day and didn't want to feels horrible. If I had known about how bad dc10 would be I would of stayed at Space until the bitter end.
