last night, 5 jan, saw the traditional cavalcade for the arrival of their majesties from the east, the three kings.
here's the ibiza cavalcade

and similar but smaller scale events happen all over the island, even buscastell has its own parade! tons of sweets are thrown from the floats by the royal pages during the procession, and later the kings present all the lucky kids with the presents that their parents have bought.
slowly but surely christmas is taking over as the main present buying occasion but the kings are still important to the kids here.
