Saturday 26th June sees Joris Voorn takeover the Box for the first of his ‘Presents’ parties at Ministry of Sound. The one time techno producer has seen an encouraging last few years with his ‘Beach Kisses’ rework being one of the biggest tunes of 2009. Now playing predominately house, the Dutch DJ makes his first London appearance of the year bringing with him 2000 and One & Deetron. Without a doubt, Joris is highly credited amongst the electronic music scene and looks set to have an either bigger 2010 with sets already lined up at Space, Ibiza.

Sam Geiser has been producing and DJing as Deetron for more than a decade, debuting way back in 1998 with the Insert Direction EP for Axodya. While others have fallen in and out of fashion, Deetron has stayed on top, thanks to his open-minded approach to new music but also his unshakeable grasp of classic dancefloor dynamics ­ his DJ sets, like his productions, are always generously skippy, melodic and bass-driven, which explains why his high-octane mix CD for Fuse was one of FACT¹s top albums of 2008.

The tracklist for Deetron¹s FACT mix speaks for itself: a ton of our favourite current producers are represented, including Patrice Scott, WAX (Shed), Basic Soul Unit, Kink and Surgeon, and there are welcome outings for Dixon¹s dancefloor edit of Ame¹s neo-kosmische epic ŒFiori¹ and the Motor City Drum Ensemble remix of Caribou.[/SIZE][/FONT]
