does anyone know where ther essential mixxes can be found in a downloadable format??

I think we've been through this.

You go on the Beeb website and listen to the rebroadcast (stereo, 33hz) and record on your computer. That's what I did with Solveig just this week 8)

I use a program called SoundForge, so I can save director to MP3 and skip saving a huge WAV file on my PC. There's other software out there as well...
 
doesn't that record at a crap data transfer rate???

i'd get soulseek and get them in there, someone usually has them a couple of days after. Not huge files, usually about 190mbs (192kbps rate)

You'll get better quality mixes through that than recording from the live stream, unless you record directly from a digital broadcast.
