Well Im finally getting to Ibiza after plotting for some many years. Im flying in from Rome, Italy as that seems to be the only airport with reasonable flight times. Coming in on Thurs, Jul 9th and leaving Sat Jul 11th. Im going through the information on here and trying to absorb it all. Im just looking for recommendations on clubs/areas/beaches that have a vibrant vibe to them. Crowds arent an issue. Looking to enjoy an night out on the town and then a great beach day.

Ill continue to research through here but for those that have the experience I'd love your opinion. Also any tricks on flights? Ill be in Italy for a week before I hope to Ibiza and then from Ibiza to London to New Orleans :)

Thank You

What's your preference Techno, EDM, House, Trance etc ....

EDM...mostly going for the experience haha. I did see the Guetta Party "F' Me Im Famous" at Pacha the night we arrive. Is that worth it? Like I said Im open to whatever. It worth renting a car or not? Thx for the response Josh

Advice

1. Rent a car
2. Don't go to Guetta
3. Try something else other than "EDM", you might be pleasantly surprised.

as you've only got two nights, you'd probably wanna pick some big nights...if you want to check out david guetta at pacha, go for it. if you like his style, you'll have a great night. else try out cream at amnesia that night. then do something different on friday night. let's wait until all the events are officially confirmed.

definitely rent a car, you can see plenty of stuff in 48 hours if you have a car and it's really worth it.

On the Thursday i would head to San An for the sunset then either to Cream or FMIF, but if you don't go Amnesia on the Thursday, go on the Friday for Music On.

The Amnesia Terrace rammed to the rafters on a Saturday morning is a special sight. And depending on what gets announced you could visit Ushuaia on the Friday evening then onto Carola that night.

Ibiza Town, Bora Bora worth a visit even if it's only for a short period.

Thank you for the responses. Im not against trying other stuff simply trying to maximize my time instead of my head spinning from all the options. Im getting in about 330-4p on Thurs so that night Ive decided to make our "going out night" with Friday being a beach day and seeing the island per say including the sunset :)

Renting a car looked like a good idea but wanted opinions. Is Guetta worth the money or would it be better spent elsewhere? Is the El Puerto Hotel and Apartments a good place? Thought Ibiza town would be good to stay and the place seemed reasonably priced and allowed a 2 night stay as well. Thanks again for the suggestions, just trying to weed out what is fun and worth it as to crap and over priced :)

Guetta is one of the more expensive nights on the island. Its often where newbies cut there teeth. He may not play the music in Pacha that you expect him to, plus it can get very crowded. Saying that, early July is a nice time to visit, plus an empty Pacha (ie another night or promoter) is almost as bad as a very full one.

I may have been a bit harsh on "EDM" and Pacha in my previous post, but is that definitely your bag?

you need to find a hotel thats going to let you stay two nights.as a lot have min 3 nights.renting a car is not worth it.get a bus or taxi.

Deepseadiver Im open to whatever. I know my Fiancee will want to dance but it is all about the experience. Id have a blast listening to country music just because Im there and experiencing it. That being said some fun dance music with a great crowd is all we are looking for. If you have ideas for certain places Thurs night that seem to routinely be fun then im all ears.

Woodruffe thats why I asked about the El Puerto hotel and how was it. Car isnt worth it? Taxi's pretty easy to get and cheap?

I would say get an evening at Ushuaia in if theres a party on that grabs you musically , its quite an experience and theres quite alot of the edm sound. plus you can go early so you can go on somewhere else afterwards or call it a night around midnight if you dont want to go mad

On the whole I think that taxis are cheap. If you are doing a fair old bit of "klub-hopping"* then a car would be better, especially if you are sober. Depends on your budget also?

*"Known as as half step
But yours is a full climb
You're makin' me dizzy
Pumpin' the junk into my mind"

Sincerely appreciate all the info. Im not to concerned about music so much as finding a good vibe etc. If taxis are cheap then I will just work with that. Anyone stayed at the El Puerto thats posted on this site? Not to bad? Location seemed nice

haven't stayed at that hotel but staying ibiza town:
plus sides:
good location for exploring other areas.
good bars restaurants
old town / marina = great scenery.
more cosmopolitan

down sides:
not on beach.
more of a town than resort (can be a good thing depends what you want).
perhaps less of a clubbing base than pdb or san an.
busy roads

Best sunsets the beach on the West side with the rock island off the coast? Names escape me at this hour. Flights are booked...now hotel haha
